thought I'd drop in and link to the wrestling podcasts I listen to, share yours as well:

http://www.flairchop.com/

this is hosted by a couple of Total Dads, and it may not be for everyone but I enjoy their dad humor. Also, they regularly have on the creator/editor of Atomic Elbow for great conversations. They review 1 match/show per episode, and the second half is a grab bag of other stuff including scripted 'fan fiction'.

http://oswreview.com/

Video series that started covering the Hogan years and now does other stuff. The production values gets better and better as it goes on, it is a nice looking. It's a good show, but they also lean into some questionable humor that I do not like: Skirting the line on racial jokes, and for instance, reviewing the porno that WWF's Sunny did. IDK, their newer stuff is getting more and more offputting.

The episode the did covering Halloween Havok is one of the funniest things I've heard.

https://soundcloud.c...ude-era-podcast

Very similar to OSW Review, but podcast only, and they started covering the Attitude Era. The difference is, as the show has gone on they've become more progressive and inclusive, I like that a lot. But, the main host, Kevin, tends to dominate the conversation more and more as the series goes on and I prefer a mix of voices/ideas.

https://art19.com/sh...masked-man-show

This is the only weekly current wrestling show I listen to, and I would like to find more in this vein. Suggestions welcome.
I like that it is analysis based, and not fanboy complaining.

https://soundcloud.com/smarkofthebeast

This is a show where they are ranking any ideas/aspects of wrestling from best to worst on a master list, from lists that listeners send in. It isn't as goofy as it should be (heavy on the pontificating), but it is still fun and good to have on in the background.

https://soundcloud.com/wrestlesplania

Covers new wrestling, lots of indie stuff, and has fun guests. It's got a real free and easy feel to it, and feels like goofing around with your friends at a diner late at night. Hosted by 2 women. I don't listen to this one much, but when I am in the mood it is just what I want.

been cruising through the attitude era podcast, started with the invasion angle since thats when i got big into wrestling, then listened to the Rock/Cena fued and now doing the 54 plus podcasts of the entire attitude era, loving it a ton, really fills in all the gaps that i missed.

just recently started watching a few OSW reviews, can see how the humor can be a bit much, but i do like having the visuals go along with the review, not sure if will become a huge staple for me me though

similar lines of the Attitude Era podcast(I think it's the main guy and his girlfriend), There's How 2 Wrestling where each podcast is focused on a specific wrestler or themes or tropes like The Royal Rumble, great listen, filled in a lot of gaps for me for people i've known all of my life like Macho Man, perfect if you've been out of wrestling for a bit, or have no idea what the appeal of it is.

https://www.how2wrestling.com/

The biggest one i watch on a weekly basis is the Cultaholic video podcast that recaps the whole week of wrestling and news, but i basically watch their whole channel on a daily basis, they've been the crux of me being back on the pulse of wrestling similar to how i was when i first got into it.  They make it so i don't have to watch Raw and Smackdown every week and that's refreshing.  Also the Botchamania guy (who once upon a time frequented theshizz.org) is part of the podcasts they do which is radd because he basically kept my love of wrestling on life support from 2009 to 2015 or so.  So it's really the combination of the two entities that got me back into wrestling.

https://www.youtube....wVZZELGG38q2cLQ

so yeah, podcasts and youtube channels have really got me back into wrestling where i can actually love it again, so that's radd.

I've listened to a BIT of the How2Wrestling, but I pick-and-choose which eps.
They actually included a big twitter thread I wrote, when they did the How2Trump episode.
I got a lot of hits and went 'viral' with that. It was a cool surprise!

(Kevin also hosts a movie podcast with his friend Sam called Cinema Swirl that is pretty great, their friendship-chemistry is great.)

I'll give Cultaholic a try, never heard of that one.

I feel bad that I don't get into the Botchamania videos, I just think I'm not paying enough attention to current wrestling to really get it.
But I did know he was an old Shizzy, and if I ever met him at a MagFest or whatnot, I will be certain to drop that connection on him!

When I get into new wrestling podcasts, I almost always go for stuff from the Hogan era because that is when I watched, and I never saw any Attitude Era stuff until the past 2-3 years. I only know the WCW/WWE war thru podcasts, haha.

Man, I really don't think you need to be into any era in particular to get down with Botchamania...but I also just enjoy a good blooper reel.

So, I haven't really been watching any wrestling with any regularity the past few years. But I saw Double or Nothing and it was a great show, and it started me down a rabbit hole of looking up indie matches and long story short Orange Cassidy is my spirit animal.

Who's watching the AEW show on Saturday night?

Looking for people to chat with.  When you are alone, it's easy to drift away while watching 4 hour sporting events.

i watched them all in spurts or highlights reals besides, here's a few things

Fight For The Fallen was kinda house showy and had an odd production ending but I'm loving the character work that's being worked on.  MJF is a dick, but also hates Tye Sean Dillinger 10 Spears for hitting Cody Rhodes with that chair.  I love heels hating heels, or just the idea that just because you're in tag match together doesn't mean your auto friends with the people your tagging with.

Rhodes vs. Young Bucks was a mix of old and new, methodical and fast paced, not nearly as good as Cody/Dustin but still fun.

Kenny was alright but I don't really care for his new song.

Luchasaurus on paper sounds really dumb, but geez he's like Kane if he could do Lucha things, pretty cool

some other cool stuff happened but nothings coming up, Jericho showed up.

there was also that Evolve show running head to head with AEW, i watched a highlight deal of it, Paul Heyman was there because it was in the old ECW arena, some neat indie wrestling by people i don't know, though NXT guys showed up, Drew Gulak and Matt Riddle had a blast of a time.

I know New Japan G1 Climax is going down, and i'm always super excited to try to watch some, but then the scheduling throws me off and i end up only doing some recaps, i'm sure i'm missing some classics though.

Extreme Rules was probabaly the most well rounded main roster WWE pay per view of the year, really strong showings.

Alister Black vs Cesaro's probably my favorite, was really hyped with Cesaro ended up being the guy to challenge him, just a hard hitting, limb targetting, wrestling fairy tale.

Bobby Lashley vs Bruan Strowman was another favorite, just a fun all around the arena match, probably the best Bobby Lashley match I've seen in a while, at least since he's been back, Braun looked like a monster again, just a lot of fun.

ohh yeah, Undertaker did alot better, that tag match was fun as well, Taker in this role makes him look 10 years younger which was amazing to see, i know he's got limited time left in him, so seeing him have a match where i wasn't worried about Mark Callaway being too old.

All the tag title matches were good, New Day winning looks neat with Kofi still being Champ

liking AJ Style's heel turn, Ricochet match was good but crowd was tired, hoping they go all in on The Club

there's other stuff, but main event was better then i thought although crowd was beyond gassed and the slow parts dragged hard

last 5 mins made up for it for me, Corbin hitting an End of Days to Becky which is a super faux-paw thing to see in WWE, Rollins got enraged and the whole couple thing Becky and Seth have been doing actually seemed real.

still have a soft spot for Lacey Evans as she feels like an old NWA heel.

Rollins won, then Brock cashed in, not to mad about that at the moment, was a neat way to end an otherwise great night.

If Brock shows up more, I'll be cool with him being Universal Champ again.

Though i could see it being a complete drag again as well
