watching The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. I was cool with it until Walter is describing the Vision he had of Cheryl singing Major Tom. The f****** song is Space Oddity! It's David Bowie's most famous song. Jebus Tapdancing Cryst

Commando is probably my favorite Arnold flick

Commando is good, but I'll always come back to the original Conan. Great music, great script, James Earl Jones and Arnold punching a camel.

All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible.

oh god I had to rewind that camel punch like 4 times the first time I watched that movie.

I saw Wonder Woman.  It's great!  Probbbbably my 2nd favorite super hero movie after Iron Man.  But it still suffers from the dismally formulaic Marvel/DC/Hollywood-isms.  People need to grow some figurative balls, pay themselves less, make movies that take "risks".

People needs to stop watching these movies if we want Hollywood to take more risks...

Mainstream theater's not the place for risks. Did you see sharks in a tornado in a theater? Nope

Wonder Woman was fun. 2nd act once they get to England is pretty slow and clunky. Hey, she's a fish out of water, for 20 minutes, like 6 times, we get it. The extra characters were ok but probably could have chopped 1 of them with zero impact.

Score was awesome. Wonder Woman's theme is nasty and the villains motif is literally the same musical cue as Shredder in TMNT 1990. They really let the score carry a couple scenes, which was refreshing because the MCU has been guilty of keeping the score as background music.

Spoiler

All that said, I really enjoyed the film. The characters were great, the tone was spot on (which the DCU movies have been missing), and I don't see a lot of movies taking place during WWI, it's always WWII because the Nazis are the easiest villain trope ever.

By that metric, my favorite movie is probably top gun.

i am a sucker for anything tomcat, and no tv ever shows the final countdown, but top gun is frequently on.

 Arnold punching a camel.

This might be one of my favorite scenes in any movie.
