Worms Armageddon kicked ass for a couple months after it came out, until clan functionality was removed, and every person became "elite" with hax. I always wanted to gain the elite status through hard work, and I was what, 9 or 10 at the time? Ugh. Still, probably the best Worms game in the series as far as pro-roping is concerned. They were never able to match it after that. WWP was just too gimmicky and the new stuff... shudder... With roping on Armageddon, it was like they had stumbled onto something amazing totally by accident, and were too incompetent as a company to fix their game and not run the series into the ground with crap after it.

STILL haven't gotten to play much Starcraft though. When I do, I doubt I'll play online. I used to play Counter-Strike: Source online, then just sort of reverted to playing against bots at a high difficulty. Same thrill, none of the frustrated or mocking microphone chatter. I dunno, I'm not a competitive guy.

The H.264 video codec is amazing, when converting cartoons from avi to mp4 using open gop, you can easily go from 180mb to 80mb with no notable loss of quality! Really handy for converting videos to portable devices that support the H.264 codec such as the iPhone or PS Vita. Doesn't work so well when it's live film or 3d animation as the background generally isn't static, but still you could probably cut off about 20MB. I believe this method works for youtube videos too, if any of you do game review or gameplay videos and get frustrated with the upload times, this should hopefully knock off a fair portion of waiting time.

Haven't listened to it enough to fully deconstruct it, but it sounds like each instrument is recycling a pattern at a different rate causing them to form shifting patterns while seeming to play the same notes repeatedly. If you have two parts which are 4 and 8 notes long, then the total pattern repeats after 8 notes which is the LCM of 4 and 8. If you have a part that is 8 notes and another that is 9 notes long, the total pattern repeats after X notes where X is the LCM of 8 and 9 (72). Using an LCM calculator, you could make something that takes an incredibly long time to repeat.
