Colin, Matsu, and I went to a Fat party where everyone was pretty fat and I went to get a beer and this fat girl sat between Colin and Matsu on the futon and she sank while they were boosted up.
That party also had Fat Kareshi and we were all excited so when we left I said "bye Fat Kareshi!!" and he was all like "huaghaughahhaha byeeeeeee"

hah nice one.If you're gonna get in trouble for torrents, at least download a decent game.
I don't usually pirate games. Most times I torrent a game is to get a copy or a crack for games I own with Intrusive or inane DRM
MW3 was a case where I actually pirated something I didn't own because I didn't feel like it was worth 60$ for A DOWNLOAD. Activision's PC game prices are insane. (Historically PC games have always been slightly cheaper than console games and many still are. Only games from "Big Publishers" Push console prices on you.)
I guess the one chance I took was a mistake. *
Ridiculously easy console to pirate games on. Just like the Sega CD IIRC.I used to pirate games, and then I stopped playing my Dreamcast.

The advance of computerization, however,
has not yet wiped out nations and ethnic groups....or their currencies.

As for pirating, do it. I paid $40 for it around Christmas time, and it doesn't bother me at all that you'd pirate it. If you were pirating A Kingdom of Keflings, that would bother me, but this is not A Kingdom for Keflings.

As for pirating, don't do it. If not because of the immorality of it, then because of 17 U.S.C. §504©:As for pirating, do it.
(1) [T]he copyright owner may elect [...] an award of statutory damages for all infringements involved in the action, with respect to any one work, for which any one infringer is liable individually, or for which any two or more infringers are liable jointly and severally, in a sum of not less than $750 or more than $30,000
[...]
(2) In a case where the copyright owner sustains the burden of proving, and the court finds, that infringement was committed willfully, the court in its discretion may increase the award of statutory damages to a sum of not more than $150,000.

Not trying to call you out or anything, just wondering.. I mean you can pretty much load up any website, view an image there that is copyrighted that the site reproduced without consent, and probably be held liable... Then the copyright holders could find the graphic in your cache or whatnot.
Maybe that's a damned if you do, damned if you don't, viewpoint on the whole thing but I usually just consider us damned regardless if we use the internets.
Also sorry for editing a couple times.

No, I don't pirate anything. But I can't help but view copyrighted material on the Internet, since just about everything on the Internet is copyrightable. Including this post. Seriously. But viewing copyrighted material on a computer is not coterminous with copyright violation. And I could easily lawyer my way out of "my computer inadvertently displayed an infringing image that someone else posted to his website."So you don't pirate anything at all, Sam? Or view any copyrighted material on the net?

Also, I think there's a fair number of programmers here, who generally aren't that sympathetic toward infringing copyrights. (There's obviously exceptions, but most programmers want some control over what they write, and most aren't hypocrites, IME.)
So you might find you're on the wrong end of a frown or two saying things like that, Brandon.
Edit: Full disclosure, I sometimes share some music ripped from CD with friends.
