Tonight, I fixed a lamp that had been half-broken for over a year, and found a bug I've been hunting for a few days in some code I'm writing.

These are simple things, but they make me happier than many other good things do.

Even if you are not a fan of Harry Potter, the movies or its music, this is still a very enjoyable performance

Give it a full listen!

I like that Warrior Bob's main function in many of The Koopas' songs is SNES orch hits on a keytar. What a fucking bad ass.

Find me a song that isn't made better with orchestra hits and I'll have found a fucking liar.

Has anyone talked about this here?

http://polymega.com/

Looks really interesting. Gamester81 has a couple of videos on it:

Apparently it is already funded and for sure coming out. I am very interested in this as I don't think there has ever been a CD clone console. And of course you could always just do PC emulation blah blah blah.

no, and i dont think we should talk about it here. these guys aren't doing this to give back something wonderful to the gaming community...they're trying to start a profitable business. but they've already previously marketed it otherwise. really theres a ton of reasons, but ultimately, you should read this thread that goes back to feb. too much to really get into, so if this thing sounds good to you, you should read why its probably too good to be true. hold out for the zimba3000 or whatever kev ends up calling it..

Aren't those CD-based BIOS's (BIOSi?) subject to copyright law?

its all covered in that thread. the long and the short of is that the retroblox team sidestepped any and all questions/situations that the disc side of the emulation would likely entail. its a bit more troubling that huckster81 threw his name behind this thing after doing the same thing with the coleco chameleon as it gives people false hope in what will likely turn up to be vaporware like the chameleon, and its mainly due to the disc shit. hybrid emulation is an oxymoron.

I'm reading through the thread now. It's quite a ride. One dude hits the nail on the head regarding using physical media (carts) on an emulation console:

I still can't wrap my head around why you'd buy an all-in-one emulation console that uses physical software.  To me, that's like spending the cash on vinyl, but then buying a record player that rips it to MP3 before playing the music.
