It looks like Pulin LeCab only comes in 32-bit for WIndows, right?  I cna't seem to get that one to work with the VST wrapper I'm using in Pro Tools (DDMF MetaPlug - it loads a bunch of other VSTs just fine)

Any tips?

Nadir has a 64-bit version. It has less impulse slots than LeCab but I don't think I ever needed more than 2.

Boogex is pretty good!  I already have that.  I might try Nadir.

I was just seeing if I could try LeCab, specifically, since people here seem to like it so much.

I'm selling some gear in anticipation of an expected move later this year.  Thought you guys might be interested.  I can't ship the big stuff, but we can probably figure something out.  For ease, I'll just link the CL posts, but I'll be happy to do some discount for shizzies:

Anyone interested in Record Production Month? Kinda like National Novel Writing Month, but for music. Takes place all of February.  http://www.rpmchallenge.com/

I might use it as an excuse to make myself write some original stuff.

And if we did for vgm? That would be cool.

I plugged in my Audio Technica AT 4033 yesterday and .... no worky.  It's 2 years old.  I'm totally baffled.  Need to test it a little more tonight, hopefully it's not truly dead.

I can't think of any reason it might not work except the room I kept it in has become very humid a couple of times.  Yes it had the phantom power on.

Hrm.

Hey, guys! What's your opinion on Oktava microphones? Are they worth it? I've heard that they're quite nice. I might upgrade my cheap condenser to an MK-319 (still saving up). I'm currently using an AT-2035 (mainly for vocals but also acoustic guitar and percussion) however I'm not a huge fan of the brittly top end.

I had one of the 219s.  It was ok, but I have sold it.  If I was you, I'd upgrade to a better Audio Technica before going to Oktava.  Though I gotta say, I think microphones are a kind of subjective thing.

You might be able to get what you're looking for just as easily with a lower end Shure, like a SM57 or SM58.

welp, looks like i've finally moved into the 21st century with my recording software:  i just downloaded reaper.

i got a free copy of addictive drums vol 2 with an interface i bought a few weeks ago, and i'm very interested in using it for demoing some songs where drum machines won't cut it.  not surprisingly, that program doesn't really interface with cool edit pro, and it is not intuitive enough as a standalone application, so i guess i'll be slowly figuring out reaper.

Reaper it not intuitive at all, it's pretty cumbersome at first, but lucky for you there are a lot of great tutorials out there. I suggest you watch all of VikingGuitar's stuff, it'll teach you everything you need to know effectively.
