Also, I didn't realize that the Virtual Console was going to emulate MSX, I guess that could mean there's gonna be some Castlevania and Metal Gear on the Wii...

wow that is a vast difference!
so, i counted my "wii jar-o-change" tonight, and i have about $110 in there. A lot more than I thought. I will continue to scrounge money and try not to spend money (although i spent $70 on Amazon tonight, fuck) and just pop out whatever else I need to get the Wii and a game.

heh this is technically the game with the POW block where you knock enemies from underneath and run along top to knock them out? smb3 minigame...
we are getting gunstar heroes though and i think many people deserve to play that game...
you're right penguin, the japan list is much much better... :/

Yea, again I'm not too crazy about that stuff yet. Although Gunstar is a solid yes whenever I get around to going nuts on there...

I was kinda hoping to buy Super Mario Bros just for the heck of it... oh well. I'm surprised it didn't make the cut, I mean, the Virtual Console is supposed to be for nostalgia, right? I'll go so far to say that no game has more nostalgia associated with it than that one.

My girlfriend made a pretty good point about that list. The US should be getting more games, even over what Japan is getting. Why? Because a lot of people aren't sold on the control setup, and are relying on the VC to carry the system. I've got more than faith in the remote, but I can see where it's untested and unproven.
I'm just pissed I don't get Gradius and CVIV. Here's an image of the list for the lazy.
