What’s the verdict on those push-up bar/block/handle things? I’ve been maxing out on pushups and crunches each night to dip my toes into working out. I’m already kinda strong from work but I wanna get some damn ＧＬＡＭＯＵＲ ＭＵＳＣＬＥＳ because I’ve watched too much Jojo.

probably could have done more, but since i haven't been feelin confident on squat i didn't want to risk blowing a bunch of energy that i can use later.

3rd attempt was 227.5kg. i got it all the way up, but my left hand lost grip before i got the command to put it down, so i failed the lift.
i'm still counting it as a PR though. it shakes out to like 501ish lbs so fuck yeah.
i tied for the biggest bench press & got the biggest dead of the meet yee haw!

there were ~40 participants divided into two flights. the flights were based on opening lifts (you had to send your numbers in a week prior) instead of weight class, gender, & such.
it was an inclusive meet that had probably 40-50% first-timers. it was a really great supportive environment and loads of fun.
