God bless Costco/Kirkland tho, most of the food I've gotten there has been quality and affordable.

I've had that bacon and it's supes good. 

 

Also I like to bake bacon instead of pan fry it, idk if it makes it healthier or not, but tbh who cares; if you're having bacon in the first place might as well enjoy it the fuck outta it

I think I've gotten my current favorite marinade down...except I never use exact measurements so whatever

2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
A Big Glug of hoisin sauce
Some fresh cracked peppercorns
Eh Like A Splash of balsamic vinegar

Whisk it all up with a fork and you are good to go

Some awesome cooking videos.

 

His temarizushi (sushi balls) video includes a trick where he adds potato starch to an egg to make it more "sturdy" after frying for slicing into ribbons.  I tried that with some eggs just now, and it kind of worked???  My potato starch is raw and white and clumpy whereas his looked like uniform crystals, so I guess I didn't have it quite right (it clumped up a lot in the eggs, had to pour them through a strainer), but it did make the eggs look a little sturdier, kind of like a crepe.  Awesome.

i've been getting into watching Gordon Ramsay videos

 

haven't really watched him before

 

heard he can be loud or something

 

but i found the ones where he's just cooking

 

it's like a nature documentary

 

relaxing

 

soothing

 

learned a couple quick techs

 

i'd almost want to hang out with him

 

the version i've come to know at least

 

say at a magfest

 

making food in the suite

 

playing some games

 

taking bag hits in the corner

 

half a brief chat with him

 

thats it

 

a light acquaintance 

 

drizzled in oil

 

salt and peppa

 

in

 

creme freshe
