It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

basically it's about 3 guys and a sister of one of the guys who run a bar and are assholes to each other.. danny devito plays the father of the brother and sister... they can get away with saying 'shit' a lot on FX so they kind of over use it in the show.. but it's still a really good HILARIOUS show... (imdb)

I thought this show immediately went downward with the introduction of DeVito as a main character. The first season was so, so funny with just the original cast of four. The new episodes are kinda funny, but DeVito just brings a weird vibe and a brand of humor that just doesn't mesh well.

im inclined to agree, but i've seen some great episodes with devito now too.

Lookwell is great. Everyone should watch if they haven't already.

So the DVD of the complete Police Squad! show is out. I think it's genius in the sight gags/writing full of puns and silly jokes/good ole Leslie Nielsen. I highly recommend it if you enjoy the Naked Gun movies that it inspired.

!!!!!

i never thought that the naked gun movies lived up to police squad. WANT!

i think devito is a nice add but some of the plots surrounding him are boring... season 2 had some duds but some very memorable ones too... the israeli moving in the area next to the bar ep.. the ep where they are hooked on steroids and charlie does underground street fighting... the coaching children's basketball ep... i think as long as the main actors are still writing the material, we'll continue to see great to at least respectable episodes... and charlie rocks...

I just got the "Police Squad!" DVD from netflix. It's good stuff although Naked Gun is a big improvement. I miss Naked Gun/Airplane style comedies.

Gentleman, Firefly. A great show that, like many great shows, got canned way before it should have. Such a good series. Fox sucks... Still check it out guys.

Thanks Sherv, will check it out.
I've been needing something new since I finished the first season of Dexter.
I'm also into Day Break right now. The first episode wasn't too special, but the intrigue realy picks up in the second one.
It sucks that we have to wait until mid January before the best shows come back.

This thread is good because I need to download some series over torrent.
I'm moving somewhere without internet or telephone so I need to stock up on TV series now.

Finally started watching The Office since I've been meaning to since I saw it at Norrins.

Kenny Vs Spenny is the show I am most digging right now, some eps like the Who can drink more beer and the pilot Who can gain the most weight are awesome.

Yea so I've grown to appreciate the NBC Thursday night comedy lineup. I also try to catch every Scrubs rerun on Comedy Central. I dunno why it took me so long to catch on to the genius of that show.

It's kinda like Ziggy now - a bit too preachy!
But I think the new ones are still good...

Anyone have any favorite moments from The Office (US). It's just a great show. Michael sitting in the hotel room listening to that "girls gone wild" song by himself was the funniest thing ever. Although "Prison Mike" is right up there.
