Going to catch up to episode 7 of 8 of Sharp Objects tomorrow night. I won't apologize for spoiling that at 6 (of 8) episodes in, all it has been about is how fucked up the main character and the town she's from is. I hope I'm surprised that they've been gathering clues to the killer's identity all along, because it really doesn't seem like it.
Good lord, I have to bump this. The series was less of a who-dunnit than a fucked up, psycho twist thriller. I'm still reeling from the end.
Did you enjoyed the ending?
I thought it was extra-lame.
My wife watched with me, but she has read the book. Mid-way through ep4 i think, i called who the killer was. And i was right.
Like i said to her: "the story got to a point where, it doesn't matter who did it, it's going to have to be for a stupid reason", and man.. i was right.
Amy Addams was good in it, but overall, i was underwhelmed by the series.
