This is the greatest post of all time. Boner of the month man. Had the hugest crush on her when I was a lad too. I do believe I beat my meat to TNG on more than one occassion. I'm serious.

You sir, are a sociopath who gets off of insulting other people. People such as you, regardless of talent or merrit are a blight upon this world and aren't worth a single milligram of oxygen. Do the world a favor and go hang yourself you miserable, insecure, magalomaniacal bottom feeder.

So you might have thought Katharine Pulaski was kind of a dog compared to firecrotch Crusher.

first of all, funky fm music just really does it for me.  Even if it's something corny like early mariah carey I can get way into the music with the fm bass and keys going on.   Then, there's everything else in this song.  The enigmatic title.  The synth programming brings out all the right emotional responses in me:  leads that remind me of thunderforce (even if the portamento isn't quite as exaggerated), chording synths that remind me of very old and charming genesis osts like super monaco (except somehow they don't sound as flimsy here), and of course a solid bass.  Great original motifs, interesting harmonies, good melody, rhythm.. everything that can make a song great is here!

The opening episode of TNG Season 2 was kind of weak. Deanna Troi gets knocked up by some glowing star creature and has a baby in a few hours. The kid grows at an alarming rate and dies when it realizes that it's effecting some science experiment that Jordi is working on.

Also, I wish the parasitic alien invasion story arch from the end of season one would've lasted across more than just the two episodes.

Captured! By Robots did a song about that on his Star Trek tour. Don't shake the baby, don't shake the baby.

ahh man, this is something that my dad got me into though i didn't realize it at the time...he and the rest of the family would gather around and always watch new episodes of star trek back in the day way back when it used to on at that primetime slot...i thought it was kinda boring at the time, but as i aged it just integrated into my psyche and one day i watched it, knew the whole crew and everything, actually listened to what was going on, and i just got hooked to it...my best friend also got into it as well and we'd have hours and hours and of conversations about the philosophies and the meaning behind each episode, we still do today, there is definitely a lot of meaning in this show for me and that's what makes it so special to me

i used to not give any other series' a chance, maybe the original, but i still haven't seen that whole series which i plan to one day...i remember watching voyager back in the day and not really getting into it, then it came back into syndication and it was great. my best friend hated it though, and i kept saying that there are at least a few good episodes that really get to you and are to good to pass up just because it's not tng. so i at least give all the star treks a chance nowadays, and usually i come away happy

im glad star trek isn't dying anytime soon

most notable episodes for me

tng

Inner Light
Darmok
Tapestry
Cause and Effect
Frame of Mind

voyager

Timeless
Nemesis
Equinox
Shattered
Blink of an Eye

ds9

The Visitor
The Ascent
Trials and Tribble-ations

i'll do the other series' later when i know the names and seen them, as well as ds9 when i see the whole thing

C'mon, the only episode, and I mean the ONLY episode of DS9 that everybody should watch is "in the Pale moonlight". This is the best ep of DS9 and probably one of the best eps of all Trek. Garak is one of the greatest characters in Trek and Sisko really shines in this one. Besides.
