Well all my cards are mixed with Art's anyways so no can do, really. Unless I buy new cards, and quite frankly, fuck that.

but my favorite deck this past group was a way to actually use THIS shitty card constructively.

Mirror of Fate

I used this EQUALLY shitty card and they somehow won me a game:

Stomping Slabs

I was first to use the infernal thing and got big props.

Wow .. Major props from me too! That card got passed around in M10 drafts like a wet fart.

Both Jer and raub use Armadillo Cloaks! PFF

I don't even have any cards from Invasion :(

I stopped like one block after the Urza block

I have like 1,500 cards raub, you can borrow some. I tried to sell them to some guy as a lot but he told me I have nothing worth any money.

I haven't played since 1999!

After going 3-0 at a Zendikar draft a couple-three weeks ago at FNM, I've gone 1-2 the last two weeks. I keep having mana curve issues. Last week I had too many fast little guys and no finishers, and last night I had too many big beaters and not enough little stuff or removal to slow down faster opponents. But that's okay. I stayed afterwards and traded for some cool stuff, like an Elvish Archdruid, Scute Mob, Coat of Arms, and Rampaging Baloths. 2 more Archdruids, and I can start rockin an Elf deck.

I'm trying out a Landfall deck in Standard, based around green Landfall dudes, but it's having the same problem... It's potentially very strong, but there's very little I can do about fast and aggressive opponents. I'll try it for another couple weeks, but I think I'm going to end up abandoning it. Jund is all the rage now anyway.

I think that what I miss the most about MTG is discovering a new combo. Maybe the entire world already knew about the combo but finding it by yourself feels like the biggest revelation ever.

I remember tripping balls when I found out you could do an infinite loop with Enduring Renewal + Goblin Bombardment + Ornithopter

Man I have not played MtG in like 10 years. I gotta dig out my box of magic cards from storage and see if I can fond someone to play with. I had a kick ass black/green deck and a decent red/white deck pus a buttload of other cards for building decks. I remember I was working on a sliver deck when I lost interest in the game. Good times...

Good one! I knew those Ornithopters had to be good for something. Actually, I think I've seen a few other Ornithopter combos out there too. But yeah, they're never good as an 0/2 flier. :)

A big part of the fun of Magic to me is finding these new combos, or interactions. More serious players seem to just wait until someone posts a good deck on the Internet and use that, but to me that's not really fun. I get much more satisfaction if I can win with something I acquire and build myself.

It sucks that I have no idea what "exiled" cards even are. Are those discarded/graveyard cards?

If I end up going to Magfest, which is looking more and more likely I'll have to bring my loltastic slither deck. I haven't played for a good 6 years, so I'm sure everything I have is no longer usable, but whatever.

I want to mate with someone else who has a monobrow, just to see if our progeny will be born with thicker ones, and so on until our great-great-great-great-grandchildren are born with furry bookshelves on their foreheads.

and if shit goes sour... girls may come and go, but i'll always have pokemon......

Any more interested shizzies? I will attempt to bring drafting materials, but what we draft is dependent on $$.

Exiled is a new, shiny name for the removed-from-the-game area. So your swords to plowshares or its modern equivalent path to exile now "exile" cards instead of removing them from the game, and that little shitty rare passed around like a wet fart can get them back into your UP TO seven card little library. If you want to waste 5 mana and ALL of your library to get them.

Ya, with the 2010 Core Set (aka M10), they changed a bunch of verbiage. "Removed from game" is now "exiled," "in play" is now "on the battlefield," etc. The rules are still the same (except the "damage on the stack" thing that everybody loves to bitch about).

I would love to be a part of this, but I can't afford MAGfest .. or any other -fest for that matter. :(

I used to play this game. Back around 1995 and 4th edition / ice age. Back then nobody knew what they were doing so it was a lot of fun.

Nowadays everybody's scienced it out with mana curves and timings and just buying / copying deck ideas from the pros. I quit playing several years back but every once in a great while my friends buy just enough packs to do a draft. We used to play online but these days nobody seems to be interested. We played using Magic Workstation (way better than Lackey btw) and the drafting site I think someone linked in here earlier.

To be honest, I do my own decks based on who I play instead of off teh interweb. That being said I'm also like the 3rd bottomost player at the store I go to.

There is a Magic online now, but it costs real dollars to get digital packs. You might as well get the real thing if you ask me. Then again, I've never used it myself....

I've got the spare lands (like a shoebox full), that's no trouble. Packs enough for those who want to play is another story entirely. I have enough for me definately, it's supplying for others I don't know if I have enough for.
