So I got the idea for this thread after seeing a picture that nEwT posted of the Plitvice Waterfalls in Croatia in 11:60. It looked something like this:

Posted Image

As I'm sure you can tell, that is absolutely incredible, and I was thus inspired to create a thread centered around natural beauty that makes you totally want to die. If you have any similar pics let's see 'em!

Here's my offering. It's a picture of the Naica Gypsum Mine located in Chihuahua, Mexico, which contains some of the largest crystals in the world. Yes, that is a real person.

Anyways, post 'em if you got em!

Some day (when we can afford traveling some place other than magfest) I want to visit this spot known as The Wave, located in northern Arizona. Supposedly it was formed out of 190-million-year-old sand dunes and wind.

Posted Image

It's been a dream of mine for some time now to visit this place on a really warm, sunny, summer day and just walk around and take it all in. Maybe eat some peyote beforehand.

first of all, funky fm music just really does it for me.  Even if it's something corny like early mariah carey I can get way into the music with the fm bass and keys going on.   Then, there's everything else in this song.  The enigmatic title.  The synth programming brings out all the right emotional responses in me:  leads that remind me of thunderforce (even if the portamento isn't quite as exaggerated), chording synths that remind me of very old and charming genesis osts like super monaco (except somehow they don't sound as flimsy here), and of course a solid bass.  Great original motifs, interesting harmonies, good melody, rhythm.. everything that can make a song great is here!

I find it absolutely terrifying that at Yellowstone, you can walk along these planks with hot steaming pools of acid on either side of you WITH NO RAILINGS WHATSOEVER. WHY?? When we went there when I was just a little kid, I had never been more frightened of anything in my life. Since I've always had a wild imagination, I kept imagining all the different ways in which me or someone else would fall into one of those bubbling pools of goo they have out there.
