I think that Lunar Shadow will be right up the alleys of many Shizzies here.

The logo and album cover gives the impression that this should be a type of black metal band but they're basically a newer NWOBHM. Think early Maiden with some Hell.

I haven't gone beyond the first track on the album, but I'm also hearing some Angel Witch in there with the vocals.

Good stuff! You're right about that art/logo. These guys would probably do better with more traditional branding.

this is the goods, enjoying it

lol, if you're telling me that metal bands don't go out of their way to achieve a specific aesthetic to match a specific sound, you're...well, you're something.

Solid progressive/technical death metal. Kind of mix between earlier Opeth, Cynic, Between the Buried and Me, Disillusion, some Gorod.

Last Lock Horns was an interesting topic. I think we mentioned "Speed Metal" here very lightly. It was a great episode to learn from. Very knowledgeable guest, and the host was great.

My younger brother has never seen Iron Maiden. His birthday present is that we're seeing them and Ghost in July. Just bought the tickets and I'm super stoked.

Wow, Textures is breaking up.

I was just starting to get into their latest album too. It's not that bad even though their older stuff will always be the best.

Damn

Sooooooooo. I am playing bass in a metal band. We played our first show. IT's very Uriah Heep and Ritchie Blackmore Era Deep Purple and Dio era Rainbow. We have a real fucking organ on a real fucking leslie with two 80s analog synths on top of it running through a Guitar Cab. I hope you guys like it

I love this. (sorry for bad quality, can't find a better version of the track on youtube, and the full album not allowed in my country)
