(it just drag on and on and on and on...)

No kidding. JamSpace wouldn't open until 75 minutes after the concerts should've already ended.

To be fair to them, the entire Saturday concert was about an hour behind, because A_rival didn't show up until 6:15 and couldn't get his equipment working until 6:45. He didn't even start until after he was already supposed to be done.

I'm a huge Protomen fan. Saw them in October. They played Act I and Act II on consecutive nights in L.A.

these hilary clinton-looking women must be pressing their buttholes right up against the sides of the stall and letting it rip.

actually, everything ran late. starting with the chip tune show which ran over an hour late and then leading into sound checks and other stuffs. if he had shown up on time it wouldn't have made any difference. (: but yeah he did get there kinda late. and had some kind of major glitch with the headphone volume on the turntables. none of us could figure out what the hell was wrong with it...

Okay for the last time.
Super talented. Good energy. Really nice guys and good folk from what I've heard.
But they bore me. I don't know what it is. Maybe it is the whole fanfic feel, I'm not sure.
I definitely didn't need to see them at MAG but I've been to the BitGen shows and pax east and that led to me seeing them 5 times in the past couple years or whatever.

"oh, cool, I like The Minibosses...but do you know The Protomen? I love them!"

This happens to me as well.

Fuck, they did "Total Eclipse of the Heart"? Guess I should give these guys a chance. I listened to their first album a while ago and it was ok, never listened to the second but I guess I should.

That's their shtick, they do 80's cover songs at the end of every show. I've seen Mr. Roboto, Danger Zone, Total Eclipse of the Heart, Shadows of the Night, etc. etc.

Their fans set up unreasonably high expectations. I think it was Djinn or someone that said aloud before the show, "I've never seen them live before," and this dude behind us nearly popped his top. He was like "Oh my GOD you are in for a treat! The first time I saw them live I couldn't pick my jaw up off the floor the whole time!!"

So yeah, anything less than JAW DRIOPO was going to be a let down. It was entertaining, though.

Light Up The Night is a really good song. It's almost like they recaptured 80s music better than The Darkness. Like, way better.

I'll have to listen to more soon.

I personally experienced a heavy case of JHAW DRIOPO during their first set.

they need to play earlier though
always at the bit gen shows they closed which mad me associate their music with sore legs and the feeling of sobering up

but seriously who else does a western inspired megaman rock opera
its cool
