This all sounds like personal development stuff to me (which I've been gradually ramping up since October of 2009), though Harden the FUCK Up has a better ring to it. :)

The only thing I can think of that I really need to do is cut back on Internet time, so I can have more time for my fairly detailed life schedule. Okay - 30 minutes a day tops. That'll make me browse quicker and further HARDEN THE FUCK UP.

It's hardening the fuck up because they're often the tougher choices to make. You gotta put yourself through some uncomfortable shit to really grow and become a badass and get the things you want out of life.

(super KS at GARDENING the fuck up - Rize )

sodapop

This always makes me laugh for some reason. Growing up it was pop, then later I was introduced to soda. But sodapop strikes me as fence sitting

Need to really max out, on working out, and really concentration on my own musical projects to the fullest.

I've been hitting the gym and running really hard since I've got back from Magfest. I blasted my legs at the gym on monday and crushed the Chest today. The only thing I gotta harden up more is my drawing skills. I've been working on a short comic for eons and I haven't quite finished it up. I also decided to take dancing lessons every Friday, this will also increase my life skills. I should be able to dance it off better now.

Riders, start getting on the protein and get huge, or maybe just slim down, then get on the juice, then get huge. It will inspire your other puny brother.

I hardened the fuck up by finishing my resume today. That kind of work gives me a headache, especially when I'm not feeling well anyway, BUT I DID IT. TAKE THAT, ESTABLISHMENT.

I'm glad you went ahead with this thread Raub.
I got an awesome achievement last month but now I have to attend to other matters such as finding a new place to live and trying to work towards being healthier overall. Oh and finishing my gaming backlog.

MOTHER FUCKIN LIST:

1. Update Resume
2. Start cooking more often, PLAN meals
3. Bring lunch to work
4. Start exercising again. SUB LIST:
4a. Resume simple indoor stuff; pushups, pull ups, crunches, etc
4b. Improve posture. Sit up straight, dammit
4c. When it's warmer, begin running again
4d. Look into possibly joining a gym
5. Watch spending. Trips + drinking out have gotten way out of hand
6. Finally make time to get car fixed, deadline the end of February
7. Finally get dr's/dentist's appointments in order
8. Wake up earlier. 7AM at the latest.
9. Hang with ECS more often, damnit

Alright. Let's do this. List to be updated as goals met.

Added one for ya.

My way of hardening the fuck up is being more headstrong with work (at my job and in general). I'm going to start delving into ways of making supplemental income. I'm also trying to organize my life, and focus on making dreams (I don't really have any, except for making Quarter-Circle Jab somewhat successful). I'm trying to inspire myself, instead of wallowing in discouraged fatigue.

The way I look at it: I have this brain, this body, and many tools to utilize for my advantage. Why not utilize these things instead of introducing them to succumbing habits? I'm almost positive I'm through with drinking, smoking and partying. They aren't for me, I've slowly realized. I feel much more worth whenever I'm helping somebody, being productive, educating myself and working towards a more substantiated future. I'm starting to cut out what hasn't been conducive to these ambitions of mine.

Weener: Thanks for reminding me to refurbish my resume! :D

1. Force myself out of bed by 8:10 on weekdays so I'm not abusing the whole "we don't care if you're 10 minutes late" thing my supervisor told me (and still sometimes having to take time out of my accruals due to tardiness)
2. Go back to cooking meals most of the time and learn a new dish here and there instead of relying on takeout, microwave meals, peanut butter/nutella sandwiches, etc. so much
3. stop reading the comments section of cnn.com articles on my breaks at work when i read the stories
4. practice an instrument at least an hour a week, not in the context of recording a song, just practicing for the sake of working at it (yes, i'm setting the bar kind of low here)

and, a big one, totally related to what Raub has posted multiple times in various topics:

5. Stop refreshing forums and tabbing between IRC windows when I could be doing something more purposeful. Not even productive, just purposeful. Go through my anime backlog, play a video game, watch the movie that Netflix delivered weeks ago, et cetera.

Since I don't subscribe to any sort of TV service, this is the new "whatever's on"/flipping channels for me. This is especially true of forums like THESHIZZ, because I literally cannot miss a single thing that has been said -- all that spending half an hour or even an entire evening away will amount to is a much more concentrated set of posts to read.

I mean, don't get me wrong -- there is a side of me that appreciates the ability to spend my time however I like with only myself to judge, I don't have too much of a problem with being a lethargic lazy layabout, but when I find myself thinking "welp, gotta go to bed -- but man, I should have watched at least two episodes instead of just one" about an evening, that's a bit too far into the realm of "doing nothing" for me.

My biggest immediate goal is to stop shying away from cycling on rainy days. It has been very wet here lately, and I'm tired of walking and getting rides from my girlfriend. Fenders must be purchased!

I've seen a few DIY fenders if you'd rather put more work than money into it. Couldn't link you to an article but I'm sure google could help.

I'm also pumping up by drinking beer with my homies, but I think that's a bit counter productive.
