I really enjoyed Snowpiercer. It was the rare movie that was better than the source material.

I'll have to check out Okja, it sounds cool.

Watching (on Hulu) a documentary called Dirty Wars, about the secret killings that we do in Afghanistan - sick stuff.  Well done, by the journalist who helped expose Blackwater.

I've been revisiting Cowboy Bebop, which has been an absolute delight. It's making me want a blu-ray 16:9 version though, I wonder if it was ever released that way.

*googles*

apparently, no, it's just upscaled too. barf.

Wizwars, about the bush hogging. Just wet and part my man. Give that bush the Moses treatment and head for the Promised Land.

Whaaaaaaaaat.

Haven't watched okja, it's on my watch list. still need to finish Glow.

and watching Orphan Black as it's released.

Watched a simple movie called "space between us", last night, with the wife (her suggestion). It is a fun movie at best, but if Gary Oldman is in it, then, i'll watch it.

Okja was pretty good. My girlfriend got really sad. Me, being an unfeeling cyborg, recognized that the proper emotional response to the movie is sadness and empathy.

Watched F is for Family when I was bored. Gave it a shot a few months ago and didn't really like it (the 70s kind of bug me a bit, I dunno, and I'm not huge on Bill Burr) but I warmed up to it by/after the 3rs episode or so and I started liking it. I don't tend to laugh out loud by myself for whatever reason, but I had more than a few times every episode that I did and the characters grew on me.

Watching Arrested Development for like the fifth time. Still hilarious.

Surprised at how funny Grace and Frankie is. I admit I was "age-ist" when I first saw it pop up and dismissed it. But it's pretty good! Well, everything except for Martin Sheen's terrible acting.

Arrow and Friends.  (As in the two shows, not "Garfield and Friends" but with Arrow.)

Arrow is the best of the live action DC stuff I've seen; the Flash was okay, Legends of Tomorrow was weird and I didn't know any of the characters, Supergirl was okayish.  Arrow's dialog and acting can be a little cheesy (the way Thea delivers lines makes her seem like she's secretly a villain sometimes) but the action is good and somehow the lack of "super"-ness makes it probably more interesting.

Friends is...well, I watched it when I was a kid and it's not really funny or anything, but it's familiar and not atrocious, so it makes for okay background noise.
