That modulation before the end gave me serious chills! I heard about this pianist just yesterday. She literally has a doctorate in piano interpretation, does covers by herself and in a piano-violin-cello trio... And she's Québécoise as well! :)

Just found these folks. They're basically The Punch Bros of VGM, i.e. super clean and tight progressive bluegrass. And they're right next door to me, so I feel stupid for not being aware of them.

They are legit amazing. They played a couple of mini shows at this past Magfest and everyone’s jaws were on the floor.

A VGM composer plays his original tune by himself and his good fellow.
This tune is quoted from "QUAD FIGHTER K" (Nintendo Switch) and "STAR SOLDIER"(NES) composed and arranged by
Takeaki "kinoko" Kunimoto (Bass).

The other players are:
Tendo(Guitar)
Matsuken(Keyboard)
Munenori Tokoji(Drums)

Awesome find. Solid interpretation of Castlevania style composition with all of those original interludes between the actual Bloody Tears's. Liking the added dissonance in some parts and how she handled the high pitched motifs that tickle between the main theme. Love piano covers, got to catch up on all of them.

It's really good, and I was super stoked when this popped up. My favorite? Naw, but it feels like a "greatest hits" of their playing, production styles, and all the phat Moog-esque tones they've been rocking since Intergalactic Redux.

The track I keep coming back to is their take on Dhalsim, it's great. And Gitaroo Man!

Kain, only you can mention your mother's death and your new awesome MMX NES rom hack in one post... so condolences :( and high five :o

There's a big difference between a show being good and a shoe being enjoyable.
