i always thought Gamecube was sort of a boring name, but I love the literalness of it. It is as advertised: A cube of gaming.

Just like the Virtual Boy was a make believe boy in a desolate black and red cyber world.

The new Wii U controller looks tight:

Posted Image

-No AA batteries.
-USB-rechargable.
-Similar layout to the Xbox 360 controller.

I like this. A lot. Sometimes innovation needs to be tempered with common sense.

And the Atari Jaguar was a sexy cat with spots that could play games.

these hilary clinton-looking women must be pressing their buttholes right up against the sides of the stall and letting it rip.

icing bag style.

And the Atari Jaguar was a cat with "sexy spots" where you could play "games".

Too much? Ah, sorry.

Atari should re-release the Jaguar, with the same old hardware but with a visual makeover. Then market it towards the younger male gamer demographic as an enjoyable retro gaming experience that's still fun despite its age.

They could call it the Atari Cougar.

I've played on one before. Now... I'm down with retro gaming, but that Atari Cougar could've been better. All I've gotta say is, when playing Mega Man 6.5: Cougar Edition, watch out for the Robot Master "Hotel Woman", as she likes to use an attack called Blubber Shield a lot.

All in all, I just wouldn't advise playing on one.

Is it true that it ships with a can of Febreze because the console smells like shit?

Relevant to our interests?

I'm a tech nerd so yes.
The Star Wars 1313 gameplay demo that looks phenomenal was done with the modified version of UT3 (the same that ran the Samaritan tech demo from a while ago) and ran on a high end PC.
So I for one can't wait for the actual next generation to roll out. WiiU is more or less on the same level as 360 and PS3 are, and even if it had a little extra juice, none of the developers are going to put any resources towards that fraction because WiiU has no install base right now and based on what they showed on the show they didn't convince me that I need it. I have a feeling a lot of people are on the same boat.
It's also kind of a lot more complicated gaming system in comparison to Wii, so I don't see it catching up on the mainstream that well.
This is no place for a horse.

Funny that some of the things UE4 is claiming are things that Doom 3 tried to do back in 2004 (100% realtime lighting for example). It was just a little too soon.

EDIT:

Just watched the second video. So yeah, don't let me give anyone the wrong impression... this is light years ahead of Doom 3's real-time lighting!
