Buy the DS version. <_<

How bout I give you the finger, and then you give me my translation patch? (Edit: Thank you!)

Also, DS Emulators run really slow with the computer I use. I could probably ask for help with that, but then that would deteriorate the purpose of this thread rather quickly...

Use 800 gigabytes of samples, I give approximately 0 gigafucks.

Where does Mario poop in the airship? Behind his chair? In Cappy?

both of those translations are incomplete AFIK and have a fatal Menu bug that can occur.

See: http://www.romhackin...p?topic=13271.0

So as long as you can put up with a possible crash under certain circumstances in the menu and some untranslated/gibberish parts you are set to go.

So I was just playing Dragon Warrior II and I'm exploring the Sea Cave.
I get about half-way through it when I get ambushed by four Puppet Men.
Rather than attack me, they instead "did a strange jig" and took all of my MP.
Now I'm fucked.
Can't heal, can't escape.

Well, it didn't turn out as bad as I thought.
I did manage to walk out of there alive, but I had to turn back right away, so I didn't get the Eye of Malroth.
Still, that was pretty fuckin' cheap.

I played through a bunch of 7, too, but then I was missing just a single tablet piece and had no idea where to find it. Eventually I moved on to something else. But I had a good time up to that point.

I remember similar frustrations with that game, and I think part of that is why I've never replayed it. 7 and 9 are the only ones I've never replayed, and 9 only because of the single save file. 6 was similar in the trouble finding out where to go department too, and I only ever replayed that one because of the DS remake.

I'd say the best ones are 3, 4, 5, and 8.

Unlike FF, I've actually played all the DQ games. I played 9 twice... I can't recall if I deleted it or bought a second copy...

EDIT:

Unfortunately, X is a MMORPG and I will never play one. The closest I will come to playing a MMORPG is Diablo 3, and thankfully they ruined that with the auction house so I was able to stop playing it after a few weeks.

Don't worry, there are plenty of spinoff DQ games and i'm sure there will be an XI that will be a regular one.

Wait.

You played IX and claimed to have never played an MMORPG? I thought it was supposed to have a lot of MMO elements or whatever.

Well, technically, DQ9 isn't online.
So, it's a Local Multiplayer Role Playing Game, or LMRPG.

What elements are those?
Honestly, I don't know what you mean because I haven't played FFXII.

DQ9 only has MMO elements if you want to use them. I never got online with DQ9 and it's pretty old school if you don't.

FUCK!
I actually made it through the Cave to Rhone and was one step away from the monolith where I could save my game when I got into a battle with two Giants and a Blizzard who promptly killed me.
