It seemed almost every album I really got into in highschool had an accompanying remix album. Something I don't see a lot of any longer. Anyway, examples:

Awesome thread idea!  Actually I think there are loads of remix albums still (or maybe not albums, but singles for sure), especially of indie rock type stuff.  But I'd never know of them unless I was looking.  These I found because of Pandora.

 

 

 

 

(yeah yeah dubstep sucks and all that but I like this one)

"Further Down the Spiral" was the first NiN album I ever had.  To this day, it has some of my favorite songs on it.  However, I can't really think of any other remix album I listened to that I found to be worth much.

Did you own both versions though? What do you even call a remix of a remix disc?
