Daytona USA - it's one of my favorite games ever. So i have the Original USA Saturn version, the JP Saturn Version, JP Championship Edition Saturn and the DC one.

Because it's one of my favorite games and because.. well it's Daytona.

Outrun - I have it on the SMS (Tectoy Version) bought it new. Saturn version (Sega AGES collection) got it as a gift. Outrun is a personal favorite, and i would love to own all the versions, but it's impossible, there are too many.

Phantasy Star I - SMS and Saturn versions, because i wanted to play with the FM soundtrack, so i bought the Saturn version.

Also, i've heard there's a non-black (grey) version of Killer Instinct, so i'm trying to hunt that down too... because if i once spend 12 hours direct, playing KI, i can say that i like it. :)

I sold most of these in the great purge of 2015.

Most of them were collecting dust anyway.

In fact, i don't think i own duplicate copies of any game at this point.

I only kept my SMS and Saturn games, but i sold all Daytonas except for the JP Saturn version.

And i sold the PS1 and outrun saturn, because mega-money.

Funny to look back to it.

Starcraft

Starcraft (french)

Brood war expansion

Brood war expansion (french)

Starcraft Battle chest

Starcraft 64 (horrible purchase)

Starcraft and Brood war on Battle.net (digital)

And now I think I'm going to get the Remastered version that came out when I have some time off. Haven't played in ages and I love the single player campaign.

I think the only games I somehow ended with multiple copies of where:

- Super Smash Bros. Melee (2 complete copies AND one case)

- Final Fantasy Tactics (2 complete copies of the PS1 version)

Not gonna flood this post with too many games. I thought long and hard about which games I own the MOST versions of, and these are the ones that came to mind.

Final Fantasy IV
- FF II (SNES)
- FF IV (Super Famicom)
- FF IV (WonderSwan Color)
- FF IV Advance (GBA)
- FF IV (DS)
- FF IV: The Complete Collection (PSP)

Ys
- Ys (Famicom)
- Y's: The Vanished Omens (Sega Master System)    <------------------------- part I only edges out part II and III because of this version
- Ys Book I & II (Turbo CD)
- Falcom Classics (Saturn)
- Ys I & II Eternal Story (PS2)
- Legacy of Ys: Books I & II (DS)
- Ys I & II Chronicles [Premium Edition] (PSP)

Doom
- Definitely on some old shareware CDs/floppy disks (PC)
- Doom (32x)
- Doom (SNES)
- Ultimate Doom (PC)
- Doom (3DO)
- Doom (Saturn)
- Doom 3 Collector's Edition (Xbox)
- Doom (XBLA)

Sonic the Hedgehog
- Sonic the Hedgehog (Genesis)
- Sonic the Hedgehog [Not for Resale version] (Genesis)
- 6-Pak (Genesis)
- 6-Pak [Majesco Rerelease] (Genesis)
- Sonic Classics (Genesis)
- Sonic Jam (Saturn)
- Sega Smash Pack Volume 1 (Dreamcast)
- Sonic Mega Collection (Gamecube)
- Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection (Xbox 360)
- Sega Genesis Ultimate Portable Game Player (Standalone with built-in games)
- Sega 3D Classics Collection (3DS)

Looking at it now, Sonic 1 might be the most rereleased game ever. Sega has probably put a compilation on every platform after going 3rd party. The crazy thing is, there might be another version laying around that I forgot about / am not aware of. I'm not even going to count the Master System / Game Gear versions because those are their own original thing.
