I was at work all day, couldn't make it.

I mean, it isn't as if I don't get to record shops regularly anyway.

If I could have, I might have bought that Scott Pilgrim VG soundtrack on yellow vinyl, and the Peanuts (Charlie Brown) portable record player.

Both just for the geeky pleasure.

i didnt go to any shops, but i got a record in the mail, which was probably a lot less stressful

probably less stressful for sure.

I suppose I'll just wind up buying a download of the record if I ever get around to thinking about it.

 

How was turnout at the shops?

i had to work my real job during the day, so i thankfully missed the morning rsd nonsense.

i pulled a closing shift at revolver and it was a lot of fun. customers were still steady, even in the later hours, so things turned out well there.

i snaked a couple of the death waltz rsd releases.

the whole rsd company / exclcusive release business leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but the day itself is always huge for stores, which is obviously great.

i had a hearty chuckle that the Jack White record this year was called The Fastest Record

 

but it just meant fastest from recording to retail

(i do think that guy does some cool stuff and im glad to see him give back to the things he loves, not talking shit on him. he also always puts out some crazy fucking records)
