i saw em on the countdown tour with STP, ahaha. bought a bootlegged shirt for $10 outside, which i thought was a little better quality than the ones they were selling inside for $22. i think that must have been 1992 or 3, i was 15 i guess. says tour support was suicidal tendencies and pantera as the openers. im thinking i saw em in 93 tho, because it was at a college campus and was only the two bands. think i only paid $15 for the ticket. they were both good! hey, id definitely go see em again if menza and friedman came back.

I wouldn't be surprised if Dave talked all day before shows wrecking his voice in the process. Whereas Axl has that odd calmness when he's not pissed off.

Everybody on the Blab is so gray now.

Yea you were. Slayer as a kid then? I had to sit through about 2,000 hours of church in the 80s.

My first real metal show was Sabbath and Pantera with, of all people, Incubus opening. Needless to say the former 2 were a transformative experience for a 12 year old.

Daemon, that was my first show, too!  I think it was 1998, and I saw them in San Jose, CA.

Yes! 1998 it was, good ol' Reunion tour. I remember watching the pit for Pantera and being shocked at how massive it was and then Sabbath rose up out of the floor of the stage and I was in awe at what I was witnessing. Watching Geezer pluck away I decided that was what I wanted to do and got my first bass for my birthday that year.

There will never be any pit bigger than a Pantera one.
