Wow, I’m humbled. I was not expecting to win with my first entry and with just a piano thing, but I’m really happy that people liked it. Thanks for saying nice things!

And if you haven’t played La Mulana, please do. You will need a pen and a large stack of paper, and you will rage at the puzzles. Plus it requires some decent platforming skills.

Now I have to learn to do more elaborate stuff like programming drums, playing guitar, mixing and mastering and all that.....

Oh, I'd also like to say that I love that the objectively awful Goonies choral arrangement was only deemed below average.

Thanks pingosimon! Both hands were recorded separately, about 2-3 punch-ins for the left and 7-8 for the right. It’s straight audio from my keyboard rather than midi data run through a VSTi. Would love to have worked my way up to a single take but I ran out of time and just wanted to get it recorded in a presentable fashion. Tried to take some inspiration from Chopin’s “Minute Waltz” given the brevity theme.

By the way I went back and listened to your fugue from the Symphony of the Night month, and holy crap! Those are some serious musical chops on display. I can only imagine how much work went into constructing that.

Damn, more piano entries plz, that was awesome.

haha yeah that fugue took a while to write.  It didn't take too long to record cause I punch and edit a lot

I didn’t even know the tune! :D Crowd singing at its finest. It’s a piece of process music. The journey, not the destination.
