Finished up Technobabylon today. Really, really liked it. Pretty much had what I wanted from it; good story in a great setting with interesting characters. The set pieces for puzzles were also really cool and fun in general. There is one skill based challenge that is just bullshit but other than that, was really enjoyable. Definitely liked it better than Gemini Rue. Probably will start up Shardlight next.

Lots of good stuff on sale at GOG. I think the sale ends at the end of today.
I got:

- Undertale

- Hyperlight Drifter
- Ultimate Underworld 1 & 2
- AD&D Collections 1-3 (Eye of the Beholder, EoB 2, EoB 3, Menzoberranzan, Dungeon Hack, Hillsfar, Poll of Radiance, Secret of the Silver Blades, Treasures of the Savage Frontier, Curse of the Azure Bonds, Pools of Darkness, Gateway to the Savage Frontier, Forgotten Realms Unlimited Adventures)

All for about $26ish if I recall. Dunno If I'll ever get to all of these, but I'm stoked to try some of these.

- Ultimate Underworld 1 & 2

I LOVED these as a kid. They're quite dated now, but I would play a faithful remake.

Yeah for sure. They were over my head when I was a kid, so going through them as an adult should provide some amount of entertainment. These may or may not be good for being in between Souls games.

I enjoyed Dungeon Hack a good deal, but it got very hard quickly. Same with EOB.

QUICK! I need a cheap video card that'll get me through Dragon Quest XI when it comes out in September! Any recommendations? I don't care about high settings whatsoever. Anything under $150 is fine. Hurry, it'll be September before we know it!

Without knowing the specs it's a bit too hard to say but I'd bet this could run it.

Sadly video cards are super expensive right now thanks to crypto currency craze, and even old cheaper models are up.

RE: Cryptomining crap.

I'm getting a gaming PC later this year, and  damn if it doesn't feel pretty inconvenient time to do so. Though, I will say, things are a lot different than last time I got a new computer (2012), which originally deterred me from going with a customized Windows-based system.  And things seem VERY different than say, in 2004 (the other time I got a new computer). Things SEEM to be a bit more streamlined now, though the price spike in GPUs seems like a real pain.

I've been wanting a new GPU for a looooooooooooooooooooong time but prices refuse to drop, and THAT'S THE REASON WHY !?!?! What a bunch of bullshit.

Finished Shardlight the other day. It was...fine. Story was predictable and some of the puzzles were pointless but overall, it was enjoyable. Started Emerald City Confidential and...well, it's not good. So far it really really feels like a "baby's first Point and Click." Maybe it will get better as it goes but so far, probably my least favorite of the Wadjet Eye Games so far.

I beat Harvester recently. Hard fucking game. Also great.

Also beat Lucius right before that. Also a great game, but buggy as fuck lmao. Hitman + The Omen = oodles of fun.

Thanks, I'll definitely hold off for now. I forgot about the crypto-craze. Things might be more normal in a bit:

Just discovered Crypt of the Necrodancer, and I love every second of it. A few years late to the party, yes, but I haven't had much bandwidth for games in a while.

Danny Baranowsky pulls off rhythm beats like a champ. Now I just need to clear level 3 so I can hear more.

This was just something I was wondering myself. My rig is over 10 years old and just doesn't cut it anymore, but I need to wait for cheaper GPUs.
