Took my girls a couple weeks ago. All of the DeVine's agree with MOTHROCK. They even jumped out of their chairs to dance to the closing number. (It's kind of a ritual at home while watching Shrek 1)

I though exactly the same thing most of you are thinking until I saw it.
I went to the Cinerama downtown here and there was no one at the box office, or in the lobby... so we just walked straight into the theater like we owned the place. for anyone visiting seattle, the cinerama is a must ! the screen is huge and the seats have leather padding on the arm rests.
I am definently going to have to get the dvd of shrek 2. There is so much little stuff that you totally miss.

I've never seen any of the shrek movies. They look terrible, or at the best like they haven't aged well for a 2014 audience.
Speaking of animation that hasn't ages well, anybody remember Don Bluth?
There is an AVClub article about him this week, apparently he runs a little theater in North Scottsdale now.
