I’ve heard good things about the MXR bass compressor, but the gold standard these days remains the Darkglass Supersymmetry. It is a bit expensive, though.

I play drums, Make Video Games, and eat Hamburgers.

The top tier compressors I know about are the cali76 limiting amplifier and the Keeley compressor pro

The cali is about the same size as my entire pedal board will be so unfortunately I'll have to pass on it. Brodan had (has?) one and it's soooooo good tho.

darkglass and keely look pretty far out of my price range, but I'm not in a hurry to get one so I'll keep a look out for a good deal on either one.

thanks for the input!

I appreciate the offer but I’d just be getting it for all purpose shit. Tryna make a pedal board that works for guitar or bass depending on what I play in my next band. Tuner, gate, comp, fuzz, maybe delay.

Found my next amp.

https://www.sweetwat...stems-overview/

You guys might remember I had a Randall modular amp a while back like 10 years ago. I really wanted a rack mount 2 module preamp but they never made that... until now. Unfortunately it'll cost upwards of 2 grand and I'll still need a power amp. Their power amp is 2x50 watts which is way more than I need and costs $1200. I would probably pick up a used a Mesa 20:20.

So, that's a lot of money.

The fact that it has a boost built in is pretty rad too

Wait, why would you want rack mount?  I would guess as a space saver?  The old RM100 head has 3 slots...I forgot about that.  Now I kinda want one of those, but I never play live anymore and they're still fairly pricey if you include 3 modules.

The Quilter micro pro has like 6 built in boosts of different EQ carve to choose from, with some before and some after the pre amp

I've been running in stereo now for at least a year and really like it. I have 2 heads on top of each other so I can use 2 power amps for stereo but it's ridiculous. There are only a small handful of stereo guitar heads, so rack mount it is!

I tried a EHX Magnum 44 for the 2nd power amp and for whatever reason, the dang thing ground looped with both my head and with my pedal board. Even after I took steps to remedy those ground loops, the thing was still noisy and nasty sounding. If I played straight into it, it was fine. It just didn't work with my rig. By the way I opened it up and I swear those things are $150 for about $10 in parts.

Stew Mac Golden Age overwound humbuckers are on sale for $25, in case anyone needs a well reviewed humbucker for cheap.

I do! I don't have a Metal Zone. I want to sell you one though.

These new PRS SE Chris Robertson guitars sure are tempting. I don't like the finish, but I do like the singlecut design with the humbucker and P-90 combo.
