the problem with Genghis Khan's bones is, they aren't cursed as far as I know. The Shakespeare bones are a little harder to come by, but it's worth it for the curse he placed on them.

Yeah in the end this is all bullshit that doesn't actually matter anyway, we're talking about differences of 0-5% at best, which are irrelevant in a mix or on stage,
I agree and disagree. There are enough other variables that it's reasonably insignificant, but if you're going to drop $1k or more on custom made guitar parts to your specs, it's probably good to have enough information to guess at eliminating as many 0-5% losses as possible.
You're totally right, but what I mean is that people, even guitarists and even your immediate guitarist friends, only care about your gear+tone about 5% to the extent that you do. So in the end all of our gear talk and aesthetic choices are for our own personal benefit and nobody else's. Once I understood that I became much happier with just buying guitars I like looking at above all else instead of spending weeks trying to figure out if I can play iron maiden covers with a mahogany guitar.

I was browsing the New Kit Guitar Builders group on facebook and came across one that sparks my interest. I have owned several 335 types now, at least 3 maybe 4, I can't remember, but have thought about building a kit version of one just for grins. This one really caught my eye because it incorporates the Les Paul lower cutaway for better upper fret access.
