I wish I could say it was because there are at least some AZ people with a conscience over SB1070, but it probably has more to do with football tickets and being caught putting up a sham candidate.

Degrae, I am very sorry to hear about your friend. I know how devastating the loss of a friend, especially a very close one is, and I have an idea how you must feel right now. My sincere condolences.

Many years ago, I lost my best friend to an auto accident, and he was only 25 at the time. It absolutely crushed me, and took me a long time to get over. We attended high school together, and we stayed very good friends even after high school. For some reason that I still can't fathom, he befriended me. He truly was like a big brother to me, as I was an unpopular, dorky loner all though high school. We all need our heroes. Someone we can look up to, and I count myself blessed to have had my friend to look up to. He was a kind and gentle soul, a student of history, and a true musician. Even to this day, it sometimes makes me sad, because he was one of the best guitarists I have ever had the pleasure of knowing (he had played since he was 10), and I often wonder how much better he would have been, had he lived. But, despite that, I still count myself very fortunate to have known my friend.

I am sorry to hear this happened to your friend, Jacki, and I also hope they catch the person(s) responsible. It's one thing to have an accident, another thing entirely to just take off like that. That is a horrible thing to do to someone, and no one deserves that!

3rd top complaint would be the absurd intolerance among the population, on both sides.
I live with moderate beliefs, and the day-to-day encounters I have with people from both ends of the gov/religion/social perspective just crush me.

Word. But I don't think that is just Arizona. It's every fucking where. I consider myself a centrist in the truest sense of the term. Maybe center-slight left, overall, but I am more about common sense and live and let live. There are some ideas I like and don't like from both the left and the right. It seems that the only ones who have any power, though, are the extremes of one side or the other.

I still have a little tidying up to do in the compartment, but its coming along. It's a slow process and working in 110 degree heat sucks ass!
It's a 350 small block V8. Nothing radical, but it has a good cam in it.

The intake is painted with the old Pontiac silver-blue from the 1960s: sort of an homage to another car I had years ago, a 1966 Pontiac Le Mans (basically a GTO with a smaller engine, though I put a GTO 400 engine in).

I am just stoked that about 800 more people signed the recall than actually voted for that scum bag!
