i just called the governeres office and spoke with an aide. as a medical care coordinator, this is infuriating. they told me 'she was worried about state employees being raided and arrested'.

a) they could not tell me of instances of raids in other states with legal medical marijuana
when the hell do state employees write or distribute medication besides independent ahcccs doctors...the ones who she is already damaging SEVERELY with the ahcccs cuts?
c)there were no true answers as to who this benefits
d) i stated, CLEARLY, that this decision to worry about/uphold federal legal mamdates seems like an odd turn for her, after she uses the media to portray how 'independent' she is from that. especially since she uses 'the will of the people' as her calling card for sb1070, even though this one WAS actually voted on by us
e) i made a clear closing statement identifying myself as a health care worker, stating that i am simply calling to voice opposition, as too often people just ignore these things
f) they wouldnt let me talk to brewer (haha, no shit. but i figured, i already had them on the phone-why not?)

i feel like they are a nice middle ground between cats and small dog/wolves

tomorrow is Free Comic Book Day, and its mainly geared towards kids so if you have kids or know any kids and want to encourage them to read and/or get them a grip of free stuff, you should bring em down to one of the fine comic stores in town. i know some people like the Atomic Comics chain, but i always go to independent stores-especially because Atomic limits stuff and other shops give kids more.

Is there any democratic/liberal talking point any of you disagree with? I'm just curious because it seems highly suspicious to me that our political leaders should separate naturally into two different groups, one of which is right about almost everything and the other which is wrong about almost everything.

im so far left that it doesnt really apply to the democratic party anymore, since they are just as full of shit. the only parties left in my mind are the ruling class and us. i have lost all faith in the political system any higher up than city level, and as far as i am concerned 95% of politicians are wrong 95% of the time. everyone tries to protect the interest of money and commerce instead of the people.

AND back to the main thread topic, i was meeting with hematologists and oncologists whose patient bases are getting healthcare pulled from them IN THE MIDDLE OF TREATMENT COURSES. this is so fucked up. what a mess.
