God dammit, was just in my brother's shop and he has a bunch of games I want. He found Animal Crossing and Windwaker today at the flea market for like $3 a piece, but wouldn't let me have them at cost (was charging 10 and 25 respectively). He also has: Sim City for the SNES in Box, NBA Jams in box, Mario Paint in box, Ironsword in box, Tetris on the NES in box and several other games I want for various systems. He's not known for giving me deals, which is why I stopped buying shit for him when I see it. Just so you know I'm not completely off-base for wanting to get deals from him, I for years bought him records/figures/whatever else I knew he was into and would give them to him at cost or for fucking free. He has never returned the favor. I told him to give me Animal Crossing at least for my birthday next month. We'll see.

Your brother is a cutthroat motherfucker. See if you ever do him another favor!

i cross'd a barrier into SCOOPvilLe yesterday and dunked with the best jammers and fresh dip ballers roundabout through an awesome bomb dunk party.

On a bit of a side note, I also saw a copy of Earthbound for sale at the same store.
Not at all surprising, they wanted $199 for it.
Earthbound is another game I'd like to own one day, but I don't want it that badly.

I just got $180 for my spare copy of this game. That was cart only with some kind of discoloration. So I can imagine people would pay $200 for a good clean cart in hand.

At a big flea market today. I picked up Dragon Warrior + manual and Shadowgate for $2 each. They both came with the little black sleeve to keep them in, too. Sure, my NES is still in my mom's basement somewhere, but I still couldn't pass them up. I'm planning for Percy's future.

Perhaps the same can be said of all birth control. But enough posting- have at you!

I don't recall, for some reason: does that mean it's complete? If so, NIIIIIICE-uh.

Sam: Good pick-ups! But Percy will have to wait some time until Shadowgate won't scare him.

Oh, sure. We're planning for the long-term.

Although, he is already far too smart and clever for his own good (and mine), so he might be ready for it before either of us might think.

Not a game, but most people wouldn't see it in the thrift store thread. Got this at Sally Ann today for $2. He's around 43" long.

Current 3DO collection. Help from MegaMatt (amazing score on Star Control II - in a PS2 box, but disc is perfect and it came with instructions AND star map!!) and thecreeper (long boxes, complete and in supreme condition Family Feud, Wicked 18 and Psychic Detective). I actually got both Bust-a-Move and CPU Bach in NIB, still shrink-wrapped condition but I ripped them open so I could play them. Jewel case games are as follows:

Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Po'ed, Pebble Beach Golf Links, Wolfenstein 3D, Samurai Shodown, D, Star Fighter, Trip'd, Return Fire (long box I got it in is beat to hell and bendy so I took out the case for ease of play), Guardian War, Myst, Rise of the Robots, Sampler CD

Doing well. Still on the hunt for a reasonably priced, NA based FZ-JS1. One day! I haven't gotten around to playing some of these games. For some I am waiting for guests to stop by my place for a 3DO party. One day... But, the Myst blog will be updated this weekend.

Just remembered I saw a Game Wave console too. Had no idea what it was, especially since it was the console only, not even a box with it. Now I do. http://playgamewave....e/guarantee.cfm

Looks like they just woke up the president for the picture. :P Anyway, the system is expensive and borderline pointless nowadays. I've also played games with a remote before and it's pretty stankin' annoying!

I found yet another Nuon today. It was $25. I didn't buy it. Pretty crazy how a system like this can cost so much damn money on ebay. yet i find 3 within a few months, 2 at the same goodwill, for $25 or less.

Ever since I got the AES Ive been keeping my eyes peeled for a Neo Geo Memory card. They haven't been hard to find, but they have been pretty damn expensive, especially for something that is kind of futile. on average i would say i find them for $50, and that's loose price. One guy on Clist here in SD had one that he insisted on getting $100 for. I tried for months to talk him down but he would not budge.
Anyway...
Sometimes when i have a few extra dollars in my paypal account i will go onto ebay and look at all video game listings, sorth them by Auction only, then ending soonest. every now and again i'll see some things that were mis-listed or spelled wrong, and sometimes they are sitting at their original starting price (like $1) with no bids and <1 min remaining. That's how I found this guy. He was almost cooked, only a couple bids, I threw in $40 at the last moment and won it with $20.52.

First party flawless memory card
Plastic memory card case
case insert (perfect condition)
instruction manual
and one banged up box

Complete in box.. I'm so happy.

Now all i need to do is find a neo geo cab that has one of the same games i have and a working memory card slot. XD

I got a few games over the weekend:

Metal Gear Acid (PSP) - $6
Metal Gear Acid 2 (PSP) - $6
Doom 3/Deus Ex Invisible War (Xbox) - 2 for $5 bin

definitely didn't need the Xbox games, but oh well. i'm not sweating $5.

Picked up a complete (longbox) copy of Descent for Playstation today. There's this little game/pawn shop by our place that I usually can't help buying something from whenever I go there -- It's where I got my early Genesis model 1, etc. Their prices are a bit higher than most ebay prices, but still pretty reasonable and infinitely less than most pawn shop prices (with a few exceptions, mind, like a NES priced at $70... it was clean and minty, but still, madness). Plus the staff -- An older guy and his son, I think -- are super nice and know their stuff. Usually good conversations to be had.

Anyway, yeah, Descent. What a flashback. :) Framerate can get kinda choppy on the PS version, I only played the PC version back in the day (and mostly Descent 2, at that). Still a cool little gem though, once you get the controls set up right.
