Dang, Mike Allred on DD#17 and some "secret project". Any guesses to what he'll be up to?
http://allredart.blo...st-izombie.html
Just for laughs, what's the worst project he could do?
Like, "All Star US-1 Trucking"?
It seems like anything he would do would be a slam dunk perfect awesome.

Anyone got a spare $400K?

You could own Mike Allred's summer getaway home!

I bet he does lots of commission work and probably advertising.
But more so, I bet he's a hell of an investor.

so after last night ive decided DANGER CLUB is pretty great, but HELL YEAH is losing me a little bit. the art seems to be extremely rushed in #3, and one apparent main character is introduced and looks like Commissioner Gordon from the nolan movies lightboxed. its really annoying. GLORY is also one of my top books right now. the story is interesting and the art is chunky and weird, in a great way. it stands out from other books and i love it. CHECK A PREVIEW HERE
still have a chunk of stuff to read tonight after i get all my other crap done.
i was looking through the new stuff that came out yesterday and it struck me that the 'new' Image stuff all is so visually different, its like fanning through a stack of well designed little art pieces. im in nerd heaven right now.

Despite everything, the press and this preview make me cautiously optimistic for the show.
Very cautious.
Only major change that is bugging me, and it's very annoying to me, is that they changed his town from Star City, to Starling City.
I haven't followed a TV show for years, so it might be kinda fun to get involved in this.

They are def. going with a Batman Begins feel with this clip. My issue is that they just freaking did Green Arrow (in 8 or so seasons of Smallville). While not the "definitive" GA I wanted to see, I want to see something new. DC has more than three characters to choose from.
these hilary clinton-looking women must be pressing their buttholes right up against the sides of the stall and letting it rip.

Speaking of Mike Allred, he's speaking at the Olympia Comics Festival next month! Woooo! I could like "MEET" him. But I Probably wont. I think he's going to be doing some talks, which I would like to see. I don't own anything he's done, though. I think I have some of that X-Force stuff he did a few years ago in a box back in TX, but not here. Hurmm.

What the fuck.
Also picked up MANHATTAN PROJECTS #2,3 and caught up on that. Glad I did. Everything I didn't like about the first issue (the weird shit with Oppenheimer) seems to be only applied to him and it actually works well in context now. I love how all of the scientists are crazy in different ways. Oppenheimer is the schizo, Feynman is egotistical, Einstein is introverted and angry, seems like Daghlian fears death, and I'm not sure about Fermi yet, maybe I need to reread it though. I'm glad to see that so far each issue stands on its own, which was a surprising relief.
