Speedrunning (videos)

So, has anyone else here likes to give a shot at speedrunning ?
I just did one of GreenHillZone 1. Time 0:29. Not the best one, but the run is pretty clean, apart from losing some time on the first jump and some time at the looping (i havenīt mastered the loop-down-jump yet) its clean.
Watch here :
So, does anyone here likes to try speed runs ? Itīs a pretty fun way to give a new spin into a old game. I havenīt tried speedrunning a whole game yet. Just levels (like 1-1 at SMB1, and the like).
Anyway, if you have any videos, like these, post them ? Maybe some comments and such ?
EDIT : Changed the video link, new time is 0:28.
I got lucky with the loopdown-jump.

Colin, Matsu, and I went to a Fat party where everyone was pretty fat and I went to get a beer and this fat girl sat between Colin and Matsu on the futon and she sank while they were boosted up.
That party also had Fat Kareshi and we were all excited so when we left I said "bye Fat Kareshi!!" and he was all like "huaghaughahhaha byeeeeeee"

Yes. Yes you should. There's some cool tricks that not many people know of. Sometimes you HAVE to get hit.
Maybe I should post it then?

In fact, anything you think is worth is cool.
Because doing this kind of stuff is really fun.
Anyway, i am downloading your run right now Mr. Blarney, and Spook, you really should post the NG run. and asap, if i may say so.

Of course, recording a DS game is kinda tough, especially when you don't have a camera.

anyway my favorite is my "both rounds, no deaths" Ghosts N Goblins run, which is the most recent addition to SDA. it's at

I am also a Jaws master. my run on SDA is now very outdated, I'll try to get my new one up (it's about 40 seconds faster than this one: http://speeddemosarchive.com/Jaws.html )
Also, I'm working on an even faster technique, but it's still being researched.
Also there's a Castlevania 2 run that I did earlier this year, but I don't like it anymore. Very little good research went into this run, I just sent it in because it was faster than the run they had up at SDA at the time.

Sometimes yeah. You also can jump on certain enemies to "boost" yourself over other enemies or jumps instead of flying backwards, you just have to hit teh right spot (I think I still go backwards once or twice on my run...it's pretty noticeable). It's not too tricky to figure out but it does require some timing. And you can imagine how many takes and how much time I put into the game just to finish it that fast.

Just about seven minutes more than SDA's fastest video. Too bad I can't record myself playing it on my PC... or at least I don't know how to if I can.

Great Kirby run, Blarney, awesome.
Damn Kareshi, youīre like a NES master or something.
Only very hard games.
CV2 isnīt THAT hard, i know, but itīs not piece of cake either.
Great stuff so far.
