Lots of people going for chiptunes, wow. It's certainly easier than learning to play a song and working with EQ and stuff.
I entertained the idea of a chiptune, but decided against it because I thought Overcoat would do one.

Stupid internet! Why don't you understand how I feel...?

i got a chip on my shoulder but I can't chip in my tunes. the gods of chip have not blessed me with it.
so dig. i'm so bummed right now. I was really looking forward to a battle.
but these songs rock. cool like. so its all gravy in my ears.
and potatoes. mashed potatoes.
I've got a lot of good memories of Yoshi's Island, and Bomberman 64. And you guys are making them all flood back. It puts a smile on my face and a tear in my eye.

oh no! look out its a ray gun!
the rays are coming out of the gun!
you should move to avoid the rays!
if the rays hit you, you will be shot by the rays!
the rays are fast so you should be fast too!
can you win against the fast rays from the gun?

Bomberman 64 - eh realllly don't like the changes to the bass in Overcoat's. The original has such a good chord progressions! Gotta go with Paragon for that.
Yoshi's Island - aw man this is so close. Overall I think I have o go with Riders. Cacomistle's is an awesome straight cover, and I like those, but Riders has some litle nuances that realllly fit the Yoshi's Island sountrack. I dunno what that tag at the end was, but whatever.
Shadow Dancer - Badass entries! WizWarr has some awesome sound effects, but overall I'm gonna go with Din for the musicality. I wish I could make chips like Din. I love the different sounds and effects you use, and those stops! Awesome! Oh and about halfway through, that heavy sounding thing, that's badass.
Earnest Evans - Naz I didn't know you played guitar! Maybe I did...there are so many people on the shizz and in DoD now. Anyway, nice job!
Turrican - I think we know who will win this one WINK WINK!!!
hmm actually this is really tough, these are some pretty different styles. I think this is the best guitar playing I've heard from Luiza. Overall I'm gonna go with Master-Hatchet. The overall production sounds cleaner, as does the guitar playing. I like the use of synths as backing tracks.

Holy shit, Luiza is gunna steal this competition with tracks like this. Then again, M-H your production sound has me instantly reminded of 80's prog, and that is a giant boner.... Wow... This is all of a sudden very hard to choose. F you guys! More thought must be placed into this. Excellent work you two.
Naz for the win! I love that funky bass leading into the tune. Booya.
Gunna have to give it up for Din on this one. I have a retarded soft spot for NES chiptunes, but I didn't let that cloud my judgement. I honestly feel he should move on. Now that's not to say Wizards track wasn't bonerizing as well.
Whoa, double shot of NES chiptunage! Though I feel bad for you guys getting stuck with such a stinky track, you really made it come to life. I feel Riders takes the upper hand though. This is one of the most authentic NES chiptune I've ever heard. At some points it really sounded like a Zelda game! Caco, yours sounded dead on NES as well, but more of a 1988 nintendo sound. Riders you really made a 1991 sound, which is amazing.
That's right Paragon. Bring on the funk. Man, this track makes me want to strip naked for some reason. It's too enticing. The live guitar is a huge plus. Then again, I think Overcoats track was produced a lot better. straight out of the 90's. This one will take further thought as well.
This weeks entries all win at giving me a massive erection. And in the end, isn't that all that really matters?

Din, good job with your track, bro. Really good stuff.
I'll have to wait until Friday to check out the rest of these songs and vote.
