The Nemesis games, obv.

Donkey Kong Land! Not to be confused with Donkey Kong Land 2 or Donkey Kong Land 3, which just recycled music from the SNES games. DKL had tons of original tracks, and they all rule so much. It's easily my favourite Gameboy soundtrack ever.

Also: Kirby's Block Ball. The music was a little different from other Kirby games. Really really catchy and clever though.

For some reason the GBS sounds buggy in every player I've tried it in. But you can listen to some of my General MIDI sequences from the game (if you haven't already). They're slightly arranged, but otherwise true to the originals. Here's a few of my favourites:

Stage 2

Stage 5

Stage 7

Stage 9

Title Screen

Bad Ending

Credits

The rest can be found in this little directory.

bump again, same question for the 2008

is there a "best" player? I'm using in_gbs, meridian gbs player v0.3.1
I kind of don't like NEZplug, but if it handles gbs better, I should use it for when I rip mp3s.

I mean in_gbs sounds fine to me, but there are some tracks I've heard where the percussive/noise parts will drop out halfway through a song. Don't know if its a bad rip of if its the player being crappy. (like track 2 from Megaman Xtreme 2 at 25 seconds, and more).

i second this question. there seem to be a lot of games that a channel will just drop out during the song; usually the noise/drums but sometimes one of the lead channels too. and some .gbs files don't work at all
i've been wanting to rip Operation C and Gradius Interstellar Assault for a while but it gives me those missing channel problems

With my Mac, I use Game Music Box, and it rules. However, I don't think it's available for Windows.
