But Eucalyptus is Good for you!Every time my pool is almost clean, a wind storm comes along and blows a bunch of leaves into it. We have these big eucalyptus trees, they only seem to drop dead leaves when the wind blows.
(In small doses)

Yeah, my house was built in 1980, the pool is original to the house I think. Do you know why they were cheaper back then?In-ground pools used to be a lot cheaper. That's why you see so many houses from the '60s-'80s with pools. That, and people had enough free time to actually enjoy them and perform the necessary maintenance.

Less people in the world. The relative price of the square foot of unbuilt terrain was much cheaper, because there was no need to accomodate some many people.
Nowdays however, it's much more expensive. And you do need a bit more of terrain for a in-ground pool.
Which is why, they are still affordable on smaller towns, because there the price of the terrain is not so high.
