nope... this game is so dead to me. I will probably delete it soon and not look back, even when they add the PVP (which I have no interest in) and make unique items not suck (which I do have some interest in).

if they release a 360 version though, I will have to pick that up to play with an old friend of mine.

Well I guess it doesn't matter anyways, Blizzard already made off like a bandit with how many copies the game sold :/

i still play it. i still buy things from the gold auction house and refuse to acknowledge the real money auction house. just got my first character to level 58. i'm in no hurry and i'm not in a position where i'm disliking the game. i don't necessarily agree with the business practice either but at the same time i'm still enjoying the game so why not play it?

Pretty much the same as Norg. I don't feel that burning desire to play since I got other shit I could be doing that's more productive. But it is nice to have it there as a distracting option should I get tired of being productive for a bit.

yeah this entirely.

i haven't been playing it quite as addictively as i was when it first came out but i'm still loading it up in the morning from time to time when i'm waiting for the little one to wake up before work. it's still fun to me in that context and probably because i'm not playing it 24/7... or worrying about the auction houses obsessively.

having said all that, i would have to say that i found diablo 2 to be a more enjoyable gaming experience as a comparison so far but i'm not disliking diablo 3 nearly as much as most seem to be.

of course, then there will be torchlight 2. (:

Don't know if any of you still play but there is an exploit out at the moment that allows you to see an unidentified items code and discern what its properties are and how many properties it has.

Is there any way that can actually be used to someone's advantage when they can just identify it with a right-click?

Yes. There is a very nice market for unid i63 items. a 1h i63 sword, for instance, will sell to someone for 300-450k each.

If you use this exploit, you can sell them the unid swords you know are junk but keep and ID the ones you know arent.

i63 items? Clarify for those of us not hip to the lingo, as it were.

unidentified item level 63 items. Ilvl 63 is the highest quality item in the game.

ex. A 1 handed i63 sword would be called a Rune Sword. If you look at its tooltip, in the bottom left is Item Level: 63

With that knowledge and using the exploit, you could then find out if the sword is worth a damn even before you ID it. If it is worth a damn then you go ahead and ID it and try to get lucky with the rolls. If it is not then you try to sell it off unidentified to some joe schmo in the trade channel as there is a very lucrative market for un-identified high item level items.

Now do you get the whole picture?

Items have a level requirement which tells you what level character can equip the item. There was always a hidden "ilvl" as well which determines the quality of the stats that spawn on an item (how high the damage and mods can go). In the last major patch (or thereabouts) they decided to make the ilvl visible and also tweak where ilvl 60+ items drop (level 60 items have an ilvl ranging from 60 to 63). Previously, ilvl 63 items only dropped in Act 3 and 4 Inferno, but not they can drop as early as Act 1 Inferno (although with maybe a quarter the probability).
