I contacted Blizzard support about wanting a boxed copy instead of digital and they were totally understanding and helpful, honestly the best support I have EVER contacted with. They pretty much issued me a refund right then and there so that I could just get a boxed copy from.. I dunno... Amazon. Pretty nice dudes. So yeah I guess I un-pre-purchased this for the time being, heh.

Note to self: Be less impulsive. But in my defense... Diablo 3.

I don't think you really need to buy a new computer for this game. I'm still, STILL just using my Gateway DX4300 refurbished I got a few years ago. Very basic computer but I put in a 750Watt PSU and a Geforce 9800gt and it runs everything. I'm not even kidding. Diablo 3 beta was smooth. Now when you start getting towards stuff like Crysis 2 on max it slows considerably, Battlefield 3 on max is pretty much 3 frames per second. But those games can "automatically detect" the best settings and they look just fine to me. I guess in the end it depends on how much of a graphic-o-phile you are, or whatever the proper term is. :D

Ahahaha, I like how low they always keep their requirements.. My old processor is the "recommended" one

That being said, I dunno about Rize but I'm just upgrading mine because it's been ~6 years since I built it. Had a 2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo and an 8800gtx which ran everything this generation damn near perfect, but with the video card dead I figured it was time for a refresh.

Wizwars, about the bush hogging. Just wet and part my man. Give that bush the Moses treatment and head for the Promised Land.

Whaaaaaaaaat.

Great to hear things went so smoothly, Brandon. Before the beta weekend I had to call up Blizzard support because someone from Korea used my email address to make a battlenet account. The guy I got on the phone deleted that one, set me up with a new account, and linked my WoW account to it in case I ever want to play it again. Easily the best customer service I've ever dealt with. I actually feel bad that I didn't ask to talk to the guy's manager and put in a good word.

I still need to preorder a copy of this!

My only issue with Blizzard is that you rarely see their games go on sale (especially the digital versions).
I was thinking about waiting until Diablo 3 was on sale, but that may take a while. Still waiting for a price
cut for Starcraft 2 (which will never happen...)

these hilary clinton-looking women must be pressing their buttholes right up against the sides of the stall and letting it rip.

My last PC was from 2004. I picked up a laptop in 2008 and got one that was ridiculously overpowered for a laptop. The result, it was so heavy I never wanted to actually take it anywhere. So I parked it on my desk, hooked it up to an external monitor, keyboard and mouse, and for at least a couple more days that is my "PC". It had a decent graphics card for a laptop, but it was actually less powerful than the one I had in my 2004 PC. The portability was useful now and then for recording, so for this new build I went with a Micro ATX case. Not much use for a tower these days since you can do any expanding via external ports.

Computer Specs - minimum and optimum.

I wish they would list specs for the graphics cards instead of actual models.

I looked up the GeForce 7800GT and it looks like it came with 512MB RAM minimum. My laptop (which is really more business focused) has a 256MB card so I guess I won't be getting this :( Or maybe I'll look into building an express card adapter.

I remember thinking all along it would have been awesome if you could choose to use Diablo 2 graphics with Diablo 3, then I saw some footage of Diablo 2 and realized why it wouldn't be particularly cool  But for older computers it would have been a blessing

I mean I remembered Diablo 2 being amazing and epic and I was a level 80 paladin but it didn't hold up as well as I thought it did.

After playing both of them, I like D2s graphics way more. They should've done real nice sprites in D3. When you have a game that really only moves in 2 dimensions you might as well use sprites.

Yeah. I mean I only lightly played the beta but I am hoping there's some kind of animations that involve full usage of the 3D camera... maybe? I don't know. Or even if you could adjust the camera to another angle. Diablo 3 does look pretty interesting though, to me in a weird way. At first I was put off by it. But I think by the time I finished the beta -- including killing the miniboss -- I seemed to be hooked. I had no interest in it and now I can't wait for it. :3

Yo don't let this stay on like, page 10 or whatever... :o

Post your battletags!

I know I'll probably dive into single player first, like any sane person, BUT when we hit level 60 and start Inferno difficulty, you bet your little ass we're going to need the power of the SHIZZ ARMY to take it on and harvest the sweet, sweet legendary loot and epic gems.

Mine is bestrader#1558

I can't WAIT.. I've watched and read everything, including http://www.reddit.com/r/diablo

Here's the movie:

This might be dumb but I also started an alternate youtube account to upload gameplay to.. just random playing... people have done that kind of thing in the past so I figured why not.

I've heard you can't name your characters which throws out my plans of being "Nicolas Cage: Demon Hunter" but I will probably start out as a Monk since that's what I played in the beta.

My RealID/Btag email is Lucavi00@gmail.com.

Add me and put in the description line your shizz name and that you're a shizzie so I know to add you right away instead of wondering who this random person is.
