[kareshi]

I'm having some fun with basic webcam + ustream, this site where you can broadcast live video and the framerate's not actually too bad. There's a chat window that I can type in but you have to join ustream to chat in it (normal quick, free signup stuff)
Future plans include some live Final Phantom performances, other new piano stuff, video game marathons, that sort of stuff.

This seems to work fine.

Kareshi I gotta say again how great this is. I don't think some people realize how much effort it takes to get a great run. Even when you know the game inside out (as you obviously do) there's still luck and random occurrences and nerves/reflexes involved that all have to be flowing just right for a run to work. This totally reminds me of the hundreds of times I failed at Ninja Gaiden just to barely get 14 minutes. Now there's crazy records for that and I guess I never had the motivation and patience to fail over and over again to try and get near a good time again. Maybe some day!
But yea I enjoy every minute of this.

Whoa tired. Played Ghosts 'N Goblins for a while, got to Round 2 twice and died in Level 1 of it twice, in the same spot the same way. Have learned my lesson - zombies are fast.
Switched to Mega Man 1 and two-life'd it, survived on one life all the way up to Wily UFO and blew up.
Then Metroid'd with an early Varia suit and skipped Norfair, did Kraid then M Brain. Now I'm about to pass out.
More Kareshi TV as I have something worth putting on. Requests welcome.

Thanks to the dudes who came by and hung out in the ustream chatroom, it makes speedrunning a much less lonely endeavor. <3
