Okay, I realize that BUCKWILDNESS is highly subjective, but there's some stuff that just can't be argued in terms of absolute BUCKWILDERNESS. With that in mind, I want to know your picks for the most over-the-top, wild, or just plain weird game soundtracks. They can be from any era. If possible, please include a video/audio sample.

In my opinion, the Genesis sound chip is just plain rowdy. Some people don't like it, and that's fine, but to me it always sounds like a fight is about to break out inside the cart; like there's a buncha tuff guys going all bare knuckle on a casio to a degree your speakers can't handle.

With that in mind, I present to you my first choice: STRIDER (Genesis/Mega Drive version, 1990):

i am surprised you didnt say yamaha, being that their chips were so prevalent in games before the digital audio era. most recognizable sound around imo.
or maybe you mean that the essence of the yamaha sound is that of other synths being raped, shot, and generally fucked up.
