Right up front: the vocals are fucking weird, and something that takes getting used to.
That said, I just listened to this record start to finish tonight, and it's freaking incredible.
Every song is completely unique, btw. Listen to the whole record for the full effect.

Almost a year after reading the recommendations, I picked up the newest Inquisition record.
Right up front: the vocals are fucking weird, and something that takes getting used to.

Every song is completely unique, btw. Listen to the whole record for the full effect.
The band Inquisition was formed in 1988 in Cali, Colombia by Dagon. The band started as a thrash metal act, and in 1994 evolved into raw black metal.
Awesome, South America has some awesome and chaotic extreme metal

(see Amon Amarth / Dethklok)
not a criticism becasue that would mean I am a dick who cares about how popular a metal band is. Just an observation. the next round is on me.
SO
FUCKING
HEAVY
IMPOSSIBLY HEAVY
these two albums (Opus Primium/Opus Alter) as a pair are going to be on my top ten....I love everything about these releases, it rivals electric Wizard in terms of intensity.
Also the new Nachtmystium is really growing on me. I think I am enjoying it more than his Black Meddle albums just becasue it is a great mix of traditional black metal and accessible leanings. Its black metal with hooks.

Unfortunately not many of you will probably dig the vocals or riffs, I'm not one to argue though
