yeah I think I might start trying to haggle with the Goodwill store here. they are always $3-4 and exactly as you described. there's always 1 or 2 that I would consider buying cheap though.I NEVER buy records from a thrift store - EVER. Because its always shitty big band, Yes and Uriah Heep albums all in the shittiest condition possible. everything is leaning on eachother getting warped, and tattered by poor care.

I remember a flea market outside of Macon, GA that had, amongst other things, piles of old Dreamcast consoles. Heaps of games. Controllers for systems I didn't know existed. At the time, I picked up a replacement NES for $5 (complete with Super C in the bay, cleaning kit, 2 controllers and a Zapper), but in hindsight I should have taken out a loan to buy everything there.
Any Georgian Shizzies should definitely hit that up.
There are probably a billion flea markets "outside of Macon, GA."

Same here. ZERO interest in Nascar (rally is another story, though), but I'd put that up.I don't even like NASCAR, and I'd proudly display either one of those.
I've been to a couple of Goodwills in the past month and they charge either $1 or $1.49 for LPs. You're getting gypped, raub.
The worst thing I saw record-wise was a copy of Deep Purple's "Machine Head" (GREAT album) in horrible shape for $20 at a Value Village. Ok, they know it's worth more, but not in that shape. The cover was half white from being so ridiculously scuffed!

Oh I know. That's why I rarely buy any records there.I've been to a couple of Goodwills in the past month and they charge either $1 or $1.49 for LPs. You're getting gypped, raub.

Jesus. My copy is just about pristine (even has the lyrics poster) and it only cost me $6 at a used music store. The worst thing I saw record-wise was a copy of Deep Purple's "Machine Head" (GREAT album) in horrible shape for $20 at a Value Village. Ok, they know it's worth more, but not in that shape. The cover was half white from being so ridiculously scuffed!
The local value village charges a flat rate of $2.00 per vinyl. Condition / rarity / desirability are not factored in. Granted, I've never seen anything there worth much more than that anyway...

Indeed. I've only bought a couple there, mostly for laughs. This is my favorite by far:The local value village charges a flat rate of $2.00 per vinyl. Condition / rarity / desirability are not factored in. Granted, I've never seen anything there worth much more than that anyway...

Notice the top of the house on the far right is cut off. Ha!

Yeah, and it may have gone undiscovered for a long, long time if I hadn't bent down to pick up a box of records. Could've been there for months or years already! It had fallen down behind the counter and all I could see were the words 'save' and 'restore.' Because of them being white on a black background, I thought 'could that be something to do with Star Wars?' I grabbed it and started pulling. Had a hard time, as it was wedged in pretty good, but definitely worth the effort.Ripplin, that Star Wars poster was only one canadian dollar?!?!
Nice choice!abraxas by santana.
