One of the best pieces of music ever penned... here I am totally fucking it up by transcribing it to piano! Enjoy!

Beethoven's 7th - Allegretto

coool what game is this from again?

i think the 7th's Allegretto will now always be known as that song used in the King's Speech
can I do a request?

and...all 32 please thanksssss

First off, never said this was a thread dedicated to VG covers (though it is on a forum of a band dedicated to them), secondly I don't care for the Goldberg variations so you'll be hearing no interpretations of them from me. I haven't seen the King's Speech so I know not of which you speak. If I had to pick a movie for it to go with though, I'd have to choose the scene featuring it from "Mr. Holland's Opus".

I think my attempt at humor and its relation to classical music and video games got misconstrued. I shall rework my imaginary character who thought the 7th was a video game cover so it comes off less like a snide comment. I seem to have overstepped my bounds and shall retire until further notice. Good day.

Hey, here's two VGM cover albums!

Zelda II: The Adventure of Link - String Quartet

Ironsword: Wizards & Warriors II - Solo Piano

If there are any errors in the above files, inform me.
Both come with MP3s and Scores.

I'd like to do the Doom soundtracks for full orchestra (better than the versions I did before, which were crap) but that means completely rewriting them in Sibelius... unless someone knows how to properly convert .mus to .midi.

Legendary cover of Kakariko Village. Everytime I hear this song I feel like I should be sitting on a porch in a rocking chair with some brews.

edit to add that the aforementioned porchchilling is in a perpetual dusk state.

I want to mate with someone else who has a monobrow, just to see if our progeny will be born with thicker ones, and so on until our great-great-great-great-grandchildren are born with furry bookshelves on their foreheads.

and if shit goes sour... girls may come and go, but i'll always have pokemon......

Back a couple months ago when I was still using turntable a lot, Spunkman said something in our shizz turntable room about retiring from TheShizz. I don't really remember his reasoning at all but I do remember it being sorta nonsensical.

Not enough Tecmo Super Bowl covers out there, so here's one:

Tecmo Super Bowl - Credits

Really bitchin' piano part on it, which I had fun transcribing. I used a brush kit for that "jazz" style, though it sounds a bit artificial at times.

I think this one turned out sounding pretty nice. I've been wanting to cover it since I was in high school and was excited to see it on a track listing of an early VG Orchestral album, but when I finally heard the track was disappointed because they'd fucked with the iconic timpani rhythm. Idiots. Anyway, I think Zoast will particularly enjoy this though so will most everyone else as it's from the GREATEST CONSOLE GAME EVER.

Well, this is the fifth time I've tried an orchestral version of this track, maybe it finally turned out? I'm sure I'll end up being dissatisfied with it. It's my favorite track from my favorite Doom (Evilution):

Doom II: Evilution - Death's Bells

If you've never opened the Doom soundtrack midis in a midi editing program, they're fucked. When converting from .mus (Doom's native music format) to midi, the tempo and time signatures aren't taken into account. Everything is converted as 4/4 in 95 BPM, which makes it FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE to really do anything with them. I listened to each track of the midi in Sibelius and transposed them properly to a new file, making them more pliable. I also ended up isolating each drum (bass, snare, cymbals, etc) to get them exactly right. Took me two days to do it, but it was satisfying. I really like this track as Evilution was the first PC game I owned. I didn't have the internet at the time, and would spend hours and hours playing through it and this track is rather nostalgic. If anyone has any constructive criticism on how my orchestral mixing might be improved, I'm willing to listen.
