This is my retirement from this thread, until I beat the game.

I have to say big ups to everyone for properly spoiler tagging everything. I've been reading the thread just fine and haven't had anything ruined.

Yeah, no kidding. If this were Kotaku, there'd be spoilers back on Page 1, before the game even came out.

I had never played the original Deus Ex (sorry! ) but I was immediately reminded of Human Revolution, which was basically the same options.

Red Dead Redemption

It can be done in this generation of consoles and games! It feels like Bioware were nearing the finish line after a marathon and just gave up.

Great read. I've considered this to be the case and don't know if I'd be happy or pissed but yeah, it all seems so fishy. No matter the outcome, this will be talked about for years.

the normandy flying away from the exploding mass relay and such...it doesn't go further into that but still, very good ideas.

The more I think about it the more I like the ending and how it appears that Bioware really fucked with us.

Hey guess what, also didn't like the ending.

Didn't feel like my decisions mattered in the end. Synthetics and organics will always destroy each other, never mind the fact that I had just allied the entire fucking galaxy. This was in that article Nario posted, and it's perfect.




It's weird to think about, but my biggest problem might be that they color coded the "control the reapers" choice as paragon blue. That doesn't seem like a paragon action to me.
So I chose the renegade red synthetic destruction, too bad for the geth.

I'm also miffed that last I heard you could get the all the endings without touching the multiplayer, Casey Hudson said it in the special bombcast too, I think.
Including that small clip of Shepard gasping for air in the rubble.
I did everything and anything I could to raise the number, but still was just shy of 4000 (or thereabouts) effective readyness when it came down to it. Turns out that it's technically possible, but it also happens that choices in earlier games affect it quite a bit. Like, sacrificing the fleet to protect the Council in the first game.
So by being full paragon across all 3 games, my Shepard died.

And that's just the ending.
I really hate to nitpick, but there's so many things in ME3 that could have been better.
Most of it has probably been said already though, and I still liked it overall, but it still felt kind of cheap and lazy.

And with the way you end up meeting everyone who you've crossed paths before makes the galaxy feel incredibly small.
Yes, it's nice to have closure for some of these characters, but the way most of it plays out just feels like everything is just a big-ass coincidence.

Regardless of all that, I plan to import my renegade save at some point. Maybe I'll edit it and make it so that almost no one survived, just to see how everything shakes out.
With the way some of the story beats are in ME3, it will be interesting to see how they go without your buddies there to spice it up.

I think in most cases of ME2 character deaths, they just sub in some other character to do their part. Wrex gets replaced by Wreav, Legion gets replaced by a very Legion-esque Geth, Mordin replaced by another Salarian scientist, etc.
