My wife took this picture today when she filled up on her way home.

I think one of the biggest injustices in our generation is GAS. When I first got my licence in 1999 gas was $1.05 a gallon. Adjusted inflation would make this $1.36 in today dollars. I remember as a kid my family would go on epic road trips, we would take the motorhome, or the vanagon, across the country on the drop of a hat. Now days, it takes me $48 to fill up a Hundai Accent econobox so she can make the cross town trek to work. Its sad that we had to forgo the luxuries like Air Conditioning, Automatic Transmission, and Space when considering a new vehicle. And here is the sad part. Gas prices aren't because some rich Oil Sheik is greedy. No. Its because of speculative market trading. Dat'z Bull-Sheet!

Anyway. I have started riding my 1988 Honda Elite 80cc Scooter to work to save on gas. Riding a bike would be nice, however, It wouldn't be logistically possible for me right now. Although I did buy a rad beach cruiser and a kid trailer thing.

Fuck Gas!

Yeah, it's pretty terrible here too....to the point where just driving across town to enjoy my hour lunch break at home (and to get the hell out of the office for a bit) is starting to become too expensive due to gas. And I only live 3 miles away! But $3.90 a gallon where I am is getting steep.

Driving down to MAGfest from where I am cost just under $100 round-trip. Still cheaper than flying would have been, but by next year it might not be. =/

When I started driving gas was $1.83, I remember because I thought it was high.

Let's see if it can crank up another few bucks in the next 4 years. *le sigh*

California has some of the worst gas station price gouging I have ever seen. It's not even funny.

If you think that's bad then youd hate to buy gas in Canada.

In some places it's around 1.31$ a liter that's 5.24 a gallon.

And Thats peanuts compared to what europeans pay.

Between driving all the way to school and driving for work (pizza delivery) I use up gas a lot. It makes me angry when I start to think about it.

I used to think I was saving money by no longer buying any more videogames but then I realized filling up my car's gas tank is almost the equivalent of buying a new game.

I think that the only way you're going to nail a 10 (or 11) girl is if you have millions of dollars, a non maniac mansion, a bichon frise with a bow on it's head, a yacht, and multiple fast cars! i'm so sorry :/

Yeah this.

Heavy ass vehicles 20x or more the weight of their passengers, long ass commutes for pointless jobs.

I see idling in the Tim Hortons drivethru lined up around the block at almost all business hours for a 4 dollar cup of coffee you could have brewed at home in less time, for less money, there don't have magick coffee at tims, you can get it in a can and make it at home! These fucking pluggers deserve to pay a lot more per litre, they're taking it for granted.

We've been taking this wonderful resource for granted for a long time. It's a shame that gougers and speculators are doing what they're doing, but they couldn't do it without the scum on the bottom.

Fuck, I didn't even think about this. It's costing me around 50 bucks to fill my tank up twice a week to get to work. If I moved close enough to ride a bike instead, I could be buying at least a new game a week. :o

Sometimes the gas prices make me think I need to stop driving a late-70s 8-cylinder El Camino as my every day driver.

Fuck that. Sleeveless till death.

Castle man, take me by the hand lead me to the land, of the hidden ham.
