LMAO I played through the whole Arcade Version of Altered Beast with my brother today on the Mega Drive collection for the 360.

I Can do a mean impression of "POWER UUP" Or "NEVER.. GIVE UP" or "Welcome to you DOOM!"

I'm sure Brandon can do "Power Uup!" too.
;)

OT: Is it just me, or is the Arcade Version's Gameplay actually worse than the Gene/MD version? Collision detection and responsiveness felt worse than I remember from when I played through the MD/Gene version last year.

Which is funny because 95% of the time the original arcade version is vastly superior in both visuals, controls and music/sound when compared to their console port.

Most of the time from a technical point anyway^

I may be remembering wrong though. I haven't played the Genesis version in almost a year.

I distinctly remember that the Arcade version runs in a higher resolution and looks much nicer just from a pure IQ stand point

And the Arcade version is definitely easier on the ears.

Yeah, it's clearer for sure.(it had better hardware. But still remember , back in 1988/9 getting as close to the Arcade version as it did for the time was an incredible feat!)

Tell me about it. TMNT2 on the NES compared to its arcade counterpart.

In retrospect... my guitars could have been "stronger" or "more modern toned" at the end of my song. It was an experimental addition to begin with that I asked Bahamut about, and said I would chop it off if necessary, which you've got to understand is a pretty like... huge thing for a musician to allow.. the chopping of a work.. luckily Wes said it was alright, and I love that part. But the guitar tone near the end itself sounds kind of dated, maybe muddy or soft in a way, if that makes sense... This was both a result of artistic intention, which is obvious if you consider the Mellotron implementation, but also inexperience. Remembering back on it, the guitars recorded super weird. Totally abnormal, and the peaks were weird.. I think the palm muted parts recorded super loud, almost clipping, then the following bit was slightly less loud, and the final part with the held out powerchords was the quietest. I recorded that back when I was not reamping, and instead I had to record with the amp very loud live and hope I got it done well and quickly before I pissed off any neighbors. Anyway a few people liked the song and I'm really appreciative of that. I don't think it stood out against the other mixes which makes me sad.

The older the guitar tone, the better.

EDIT: But I'm just a crazy kid raised on things like LIVE RUST.

O.N.H.C. Put it on t-shirts, wear it, live it, love it.

turning into a werewolf, raping a bald white guy and then giving a monster a blowjob while it shoots its head at him multiple times.

Haha, classic. Vintage Strader. ;)

And I would do it all..... on a dance pad.
