In 1913 Émile Borel created the famous [though always misquoted] idea that "If you gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, eventually one of them would 'write Shakespeare'."  To celebrate our 8th successful year of business we've invited 17 of of favorite and oldest friends to contribute a piece of art based on that idea.  The results, as they say, are more fun then a barrel full of monkeys!

The Trunk Space's has several 'mascots', but the most well recognized is our collection of monkey images that decorate our postcards, hand-stamp, and member t-shirts, all are made by local artists. We like to imagine that these totems encourage the playful and boundless energy we love about the Phoenix Art Community, and our own gallery.

Our 8 year anniversary exhibit, "Infinite Monkeys" is a chance for some of the artists we love to create their own personal avatar of creative mischief!

Featuring new works by:
Richard Bledsoe, Michele Bledsoe, Camilla Taylor, Nick Shively, Andrew Goldfarb, Emily Spetrino-Murtagh, Michael Patterson, Diana Welsch, Chris Reynolds, Robyn Kingsley, Lisa Takata, Hank Fries, Stephanie Carrico, Christian Filardo, Tommy Cannon, Sara Oliver, Ryan Avery, Craig Gleason, Stacey Gordon, Noah Gordon, Kevin Patterson

And, after the show, stay for:
