I've got maybe 3 hours I can squeeze into today and I really REALLY want to play a satisfying RPG that has a great story involving morality/oppression or moral dilemmas and the following:

Criteria:
Great Story
Morality/Dilemmas involved
for PC

D&D style gameplay
Randomly Generated Heroes (NOT forced heroes for the story)
Open RPG style (preferred-not a must)
Lots of items and spells/skills
Fantasy World

Great story
and a Great story

Thanks dudes!

Games I've Played:
Baldur's Gate I/II
Realmz
Final Fantasy etc.
Never Winter Nights

Side note: Why on Earth is it so hard to find games like this?

Too be good is to be free, not of talent or wealth or want, which cannot be promised or accurately proscribed, but of personal choice, which unfortunately is promised even less.

Any of the Fallout games would work.

Nice call on Lost Oddyssey, but this guy only has a PC :(

And Fallout I know is probably superb, but it isn't a fantasy world unfortunately

You must mean fantasy world in the positive, non-apocalyptic sense then. Either that or you were making a pretty clever political statement, hehe. :)

Well ok, it's BASED on our world, so I can't claim it is purely fantasy:

But even so, you don't realize it is supposed to be OUR WORLD when you are in it. It's really a destroyed world and any reference to real-life locations seems to be in title only. I did see the Washington Monument once... it seems more like a nice little Easter egg than an actual huge plot point for the game..

If you want a better post-apocalyptic game not set in our real world, check out RAGE

Even with 90% of it being destroyed, it's one of the most beautiful games I've played, graphically, and the attention to detail is astounding

This would've been nice to know in the first post.

So, you're wanting an RPG, but you only have a PC. Are you wanting a WRPG? Because that's almost all you're getting on PC.

Planescape: Torment, perhaps? If you're flexible on a few items.

Or if you're a bit more flexible, how about Dink Smallwood?

From what I've heard about decision making and stuff wouldn't Dragon Age fit the bill? I've never played it, but from what my friend who has has told me it sounds like it's up this dude's alley. Then again, with no firsthand experience I can't be positive.

Arcanum

Arcanum is so amazing, its on GOG.com for like 5 dollars right now, DRM-free for PC

And Legend of Grimrock is pretty badass too, I've been playin that. Not much of a story though, just old school dungeon crawl style
